But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Bill Murray Tried, IIRC in that movie of the same name.

One of my all time favorites, partly because of all the creative ways Murray committed suicide.

I liked that movie a lot, it is one of the very few that I could watch more than once.

Only 6 more weeks for me regardless. I'm going back to Tennessee on March 15th. :-)
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Yeah, tried to rent it at two different locations last night, they were all out, and going to Wal-Mart they had a copy but couldn't sell it because it used to be part of a two pack until someone apparently stole the other movie it had packaged with it. That should say 6 more weeks of winter right there.

Georgia groundhog uses Twitter, says spring’s almost here

Gen. Beauregard Lee did not see his shadow when he emerged at Yellow River Game Ranch

By MIKE MORRIS

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Monday, February 02, 2009

Call it groundhog gone high tech. Georgia’s resident weather prognosticating rodent, Gen. Beauregard Lee, on Monday sent text messages via Twitter as he prepared to exit his lair at the Yellow River Game Ranch and pronounce to the waiting crowd whether there would be six more weeks of winter.

“A crowd gathering outside my house,” Gen. Lee “twittered” at 6:45 a.m.
