The Penalty Bowl -- but so far the penalties have been righteous

Tell me about it!  You'd think these guys would have taken the time to look up the word "discipline."

That lack of discipline may cost Pgh the game.

I'm not complaining!  And the Pittsburgh sideline partially missed Mike Tomlin with the Gatorade bath, too . . .

I will say this--Larry Fitzgerald is a high-octane receiver.  I'm not a Giants fan, but could you see him with Eli--or Peyton--as his QB?  He'd have damn near a record for completion yardage every other week.

Aw, c'mon.  A jump ball in the endzone with Fitz as time expires... how exciting would that have been!

I am happy the game got a lot more interesting at the end, tho.  Again, congratulations to the Steelers for officially becoming the best franchise in the NFL's history.  They're a hell of a team, for sure.

Congrats Steelers. You are champions again.

I was rooting for the Steelers from the beginning.

The penalties were outrageous but apart from a late hit on Rothliswhatthe****ever where the tackler simply had too much momentum the calls were fair. Too many penalties became game changers.

It seems the Cardinals didn't bother showing up until the 4th quarter but when they did they brought a lethal offense. At that point I wanted the Cards to win because the Cards were down 13 and to date the greatest come-from-behind win was from a 10 point deficit.

Alas, Holmes altered that equation do to severe tactical failures from the AZ defense.

Good job Pittsburgh, you earned it.

AZ's defense had to stand on their heads with that personal foul on Pittsburg's field goal.  Can't blame the loss on them, they did all they could.  Like you said, it was a mistake not to get Fitz in the game sooner.

You apparently didn't see what the **** I'm talking about. You don't hold a player down, punch him in the back, and when he tries to get up, push his ass down.

That happened exactly where and when?  If you are talking about the p/f it was righteous and the player was flagged.

Yeah, he was "flagged". He should have been ejected.

It happened mere moments before John Madden uttered the words, "He should be ejected for that."  That's the play in question.
