A recent report from the Congressional Budget Office details just one proposal that would increase out of pocket expenses for medical care for Military Families and Veterans, while others would lose their VA benefits altogether. Other proposals would raise Tricare fees, co-payments and deductibles. Veterans whose medical condition isn’t service related could end up no longer being eligible for VA medical care at all. While nothing has been approved at this juncture, the Congressional Budget Office director at this time is President-elect Obama’s choice to be his director of the Office of Management and Budget, and who led the work on this proposal, Peter R. Orszag, so it very possibly will have a very real, very devastating affect on our Troops and our Veterans.

The demanded that we conservatives abandon Bush for supposedly cutting vet benefits. There never were any cuts but I wonder if their outrage endures with this latest slight to America's warriors?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I hadmy teeth worked on & an oral surgery performed by VA. Got a Digital hearing aid from VA also. I am not retired military or disabled military.

If I experience a little more stiffness/soreness of my leftside of the body I may just put in for disability bennies.

The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

I personally don't think I would be comfortable in applying for disability benefits for non-service related medical conditions.  But who knows what the future holds.

When somebody willingly leaves one job to go to another, they don't expect to keep getting uncontracted benefits from the job they willingly left.

As a vet, I'll have to ponder in it some more.

I think getting  all shot up the side ,even if it was almost 25 yrs ago is more of a service contected disability than Diabetes is or a bunch of other things considered service connectted.

In your case, I would consider it to be a service related medical issue.

I do think it's bullshit they way liberals like to spend money and are only willing to cut spending on national defense and veterans issues.

In that, we are in full agreement Zeus.
