and our Nav team (they're the "extra-curricular" activities unit).. just brought us about 5 king cakes delivered from Paul's in New orleans... 1 of which was _.loaded_ with Rum.. had a small piece of that one, and let's just say, I think they baked the entire cake in rum on that one..

I'm sitting here in a red sequin g-string, 10 pounds of beads around my neck, and a feather rainbow headdress.  Yeah, it's ghey, but so is Mardi Gras these days.

I found the simpler version...I don't see your beads.

I could've gone all day without seeing that!

I would love to be in New Orleans for a Mardi Gras parade.  Even being born in that state, I was only able to attend the smaller parades in Shreveport.  I LOVED going after the doubloons though.  Those were the real prize for some folks, LOL.    Moonpies too.    :lmao:

I haven't been in a few years, but when I did go I enjoyed Mardi Gras in Shreveport.  It was civilized and fun.

Mobile was fanatic about the moonpies part...   It was almost like city regulations that you HAD to throw moonpies.. there were some floats and marchers that'd have no beads, but they had to have the moonpies.
