Okay, we need to work on a meeting spot for the tour (and possibly dinner), and then another one for the bar-hopping.

Edit:  Okay, those of us on the walking tour SHOULD be able to walk to River Street, if that's where we want to go for the bars.  :)

That could be a problem.  Everyone will be on River Street that day, since St. Patty's Day is technically the 15th (Saturday) this year, so close parking will come at a premium.   

Just a warning.   

I'll let Chris and Freep know they have to walk.  :rotf:

Well, I'm just trying to find the easiest place to get to for everyone.  I've got my GPS system charging in the car, so Monday, I'll head out toward the area where the walking tour is and see what I can find.  :)

We also need to decide on a TIME to meet.   Any suggestions?   I think early afternoon, 1 or 2 pm, would be good.

I was messing around on Google Earth, and discovered that there was an ice cream shop near one of the points of interest on the tour.

Okay, I'm setting up the GPS tonight towards a particular destination near the walking tour, and am heading out in the morning to scope things out and pick out the meeting spot.  :)

Some folks have yet to share their cell #'s, and I'll need them so we can keep in contact, especially after the walking tour.  PM the numbers, if you don't mind, and I 'll provide you with mine, if you don't have it already.

I do not have any idea of where we'll be meeting AFTER the walking tour, to meet up with others for bar-hopping (another reason why the  cell #'s are needed).   Any ideas?

Okay, I didn't stay as long as I wanted while scouting.  I started getting some bad headaches again. :(

However, I have a preliminary location for meeting. 

I found both a decent parking lot AND a public parking garage near Lincoln Street, which is next to the Owens-Thomas House.

Okay, I've hit a snag.  I did not realize just how far the restaurant we talked about going to for dinner after the walking tour was from there.  :censored:

I'll have to find something closer, or else the tour may have to be cancelled, which I do not want to happen. :(
