Meet Pepper!







She's a Golden Retriever, 10 weeks old and she has been exploring her new home for a few hours.  She finally stopped whining and barking in her new wire crate and crashed hard.  She has had a helluva day, lol.  She went outside for the very first time in her whole life and then got to go to PetSmart and then met the new cats and ran and chewed on things.  :-)

This is the first time also that she has ever been away from her brothers, so it may get a little rocky tonight.

SQUEAL!!!

I want one so bad but it would be cruel to add one to the family right now. Our place just isn't big enough.

We used to have a female goldie. Best damn dog we ever had. Although she did climb onto the kitchen counter once to scarf down an entire loaf of bread.  :-) She was so bloated after that!

Yep, a green-winged macaw.  We've had her since she was an egg, literally (after the eggs were laid, we removed them and placed them in an incubator until they hatched.  Also, she had a sibling named Chili (hence, Chili Pepper :p ), but he died of some strange illness that almost took Pepper's life too.  :( )

Wow...  Have you picked out a caretaker for Pepper yet?  She is liklely to outlive us both.

It will probably end up being one of my kids (or my sister's kids) that takes the birds.  We'd prefer to keep them in the family.  Also, Pepper is already 15 years old. But she'll still outlive me, somehow.   LOL

Greens live to about 50 or so.  So if Pepper is already 15, you might outlive her.

Beautiful Goldie Asdf! I was told that when a Retreiver has that point on it's head you've gotten a good one{My black lab George has that same point} I would put some stuffed animals in her crate with her{I know it helped George adjust from being away from his litter mates} :cheersmate:
