Man charged with threatening Obama on website

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Authorities on Friday arrested a U.S. man on suspicion of threatening to kill President-elect Barack Obama based on statements he posted on a website about UFOs and aliens, the Justice Department said.

Steven Joseph Christopher, in three postings to www.alien-earth.org, said he planned to assassinate Obama in Washington "as a sacrificial lamb," the department said in a statement.

"It's really nothing personal about the man. He speaks well ... . But I know it's for the country's own good that I do this," Christopher reportedly wrote.

"It's not because I'm racist that I will kill Barack, it's because I can no longer allow the Jewish parasites to bully their way into making the American people submit to their evil ways."

Christopher added that he needed money to get to Washington and that he did not own a gun, the department said.

Sounds like a guy who posts on a local board who threatened to sue me--said he has attorneys on retainer, but is so broke he has to work a full-time and two part-time jobs to make ends meet.

you know, I told myu sister-in-law last summer while we where paddlig around her pool that if the O got elected that he would not see an inauguration.  if there are any a little bit smarter than this I may be right.  Thats admittedly a pretty big "if".

Why did we not hear of anyone getting arrested for threatening Bush during the whole 8 years he has been in office?  We saw it daily on DU alone.

As much as it kills me to say it, I agree on this stupidity.

It is one thing to predict the demise of the new POTUS, it is quite another to say you will do it.

The POTUS is the POTUS.  We will have to weather his unique combination of fascism and communism and fight his agenda every day, every step, every dime.

I think this guy here is psychotic, but this is all we're going to hear about while Barack Hussein Obama is POTUS. He identifies with past assassinated presidents and there was already another death threat issued by some Islamists in East Africa - they can mean business.

I really hope he isn't - that would canonize him as a martyr.
