Ten degrees out here on the Sandhills of Nebraska, with wind-chill -4.

Snow.

The possible good news is that the 46-day Deep Freeze is over.

Temperatures to reach the 40s and 50s by early next week.

It is 4 degrees here this morning.  It's supposed to get up to 40 by Saturday afternoon.  At least the skies are clear, so no white stuff is falling.

Today we get more info on the status of the company and possibly a hint about whether future layoffs are planned.

As of 8:20 AM EST:

-13 degrees.  Low this morning of -16.  So much for the weather guys predicting "only" -5.

Dog and cat going to vet in an hour.  Maybe I'll just throw them outside for a couple of minutes so they'll be more manageable in the car.

-8 here right now(actual temperature) and I'm getting ready to go work out, go to the grocery store after, and the bank. Fortunately, their dad and my mother are both here so I don't have to drag children out in it too. It got to -10 last night :bawl:

I'm going to merge this with Carl's thread too btw since he already started the friday thread.

This weather sucks! Want.beach!

update it is actually -12...it got colder since 4 am :bawl: Well, at least there is no windchill right now :whatever:

You know it's bad when you open the door for the dog to go out and your first reaction is, "DAYUM!", and the dog's reaction is, "Well, maybe I can hold it a little longer...."

Made it in fine but the brakes and clutch on the truck felt and acted weird.

That first shift into second gear was a bit unusual as the truck almost came to a dead stop in the road as soon as I pushed in the clutch pedal. :p

It's currently "partly cloudy and 24"  the high for today is 44.  Tomorrow's high 61!

My boss took today off.  w00t!  And I'm currently waiting on my morning mail from the other building.  Then the highlight of the work day later is boxing up some old old old AR stuff I found last week.

Was 3 degree this morning, with a windchill of -13.  2 hour delay, which totally messed up todays plans.  :banghead:

Basement construction continues.

Woot, no class today (made sure to avoid signing up for classes that meet today). Don't get me started on today's temperature... the high is supposed to be 43, and the low: 20.  They were originally claiming we'd get as low as 15 tonight, but I refused to believe it.

Lunch on the menu at my college for today is: Low Country Boil (nice and SPICY), corn-on-the-cob, and cornbread. YUM! Picked it up and brought it back here to eat (I hate eating in cafeterias).

Wow, that sounds pretty cool.  More living and storage space is always a plus.  I hope you considered insulation in your building plans.  My aunt and uncle had a furnished basement attached to their garage.  It was always chilly.

My split pea and ham soup turned out so good I'm going to do another, bigger batch.  The country ham was excellent.
