I'm bored so I thought I would post.....

I have an off white sofa and I hate it.  LOL

My goal for my kitchen, whenever I get to renovate it, is to have an eggplant paint on the walls.  New cabinets that are just stained wood, and a nice counter top.  And then have white appliances.  My kitchen is small, so I think having the white appliances will make the eggplant not seem so dark, but there's not much wall that would be that color anyways.  I would like to put tile down, but that would mean I'd have to put those concrete pads down (since I'm on a pier & beam), but I've been looking at that sticky fake tile vinyl and it looks nice.

That's the goal, hopefully one day it happens.  LOL

My white rattan sofa and chair have multicolored striped blue/yellow and red cushions. All of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets have been painted white. No woody looking anything in my house. All I have to do now is dump a load of sand in my back yard and I can pretend I am on the beach.

I am not a fan of white anything... walls, furniture, cars.  How the hell do you clean white walls?  My apartment looks grubby -- all they do is slap a new coat of paint on the walls after someone moves out.  There must be half a dozen coats of paint here already.

No white walls in the house.  And to clean walls, I just use some Simple Green. 

I think white or wood cabinets will look nice in my small kitchen.  The current cabinets are white, but from the 50s and are dingy.  I need to spend a weekend in there just scrubbing everything, I prefer to think I'll just replace them before then.  LOL

I have stainless steel and here is a trick I use to keep them shiny...Olive Oil.

I was at Boston in Las Colinas.  I had a pepperoni & artichoke heart pizza.  Yum.  I think the sinks get enough action during the day that they're not spotty, but I'd imagine that for a normal home they would be.

Magic eraser cleans my glass shower doors like you wouldn't believe!  Not ONE streak!  Also, I wipe down my tub...it is the easiest thing to use for soap scum.

BEG, thought of you tonight. I was watching HGTV and saw a program called Mylesstyles (or Milesstyles). I've seen it before. I love the before pics way more than the after.

Tonight was awful. The people had a sleek looking apartment. The decorator absolutely ruined the room. It was small anyway, but she took it from a sleek, blue/grey color to a collection of various colors with lots of "boxes" made from wood trim. It was dreadful, very choppy looking. If she had done that to my place, I would have told them to instantly get it back to what it looked like before. The homeowners weren't jumping up and down with joy, and said words like "interesting".
