 This is in reference to the Inauguration Ball that our local Democratic Party is throwing.

I really wanted to attend the Big Bash @ the *Hilton Downtown, however, I don't have the $75 to be a part of the celebration. I wrote our TCDP executive admin about how unfair it was leaving out so many less fortunate people who worked so hard for the Democratic Party being excluded from the Historical Celebration.

I never received a reply. Someone I know, spoke to him about me and was told there will be no free admissions and besides I worked on the Obama Campaign.

Well excuse me, but I became a Precinct Chair for the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, not the Obama Party. I couldn't believe that he is still holding a grudge because I did not support Hillary Clinton during the primaries. I worked my butt off for the TCDP, and this is obviously how I'm viewed by the EA, not as a Democrat but as solely an Obama supporter.

I would like to air this out with our Chairman and find out what his take is on this issue. Because if he feels the same way about it, then I should resign my PC position. I guess this is the reason we had so many vacancies with Precinct Chairs.

Sorry how I just had to vent.


*Sidenote: The Hilton Hotel is the hotel that JFK spent his last night alive on this Earth. It was called the Texas Hotel back then.

Welcome to the real world MagicMuffin.  No one is saying you can't celebrate but if you want to hang and celebrate with those guys you need to pony up $75. By the way For most Political functions $75 is a deal.

Even the local democrats have that 'superior than thou attitude'.....they don't want your trashy ass at their party......just your vote every 2 years.

MagikMuffin is in Fort Worth! Here is a thought Muffin Man, why don't you organize your own celebration?? Rent some big screen TV's, buy a truckload of beer and invite everyone to come. You might also have to rent a big place. Then you can make it as free as you want, or did you think someone else should pay for all that?

Then maybe you can charge per person or something.

Problem solved, but then again, he would NEVER have thought of that on his own.
