THANK YOU MODS!!!
The Scourge of the Economy Forum (tm) finally got his 9-topping pizza!
I'm gonna do the happy dance, then I'm gonna turn in early for bed.
Man I have never been so happy here as I am now!
And, for those of you who don't know who I'm referring to, the first hugh clue (I'm series!) is in my first sentence above.
If you really need another clue, search back a bit for a thread about payday loans.
Again, THANK YOU MODS for listening to me - and the rest of us who were frustrated by this person - and thank you also for everything you do to keep DU halfway sane!
Hmmm. One wonders what that was all about.

5. I don't want to take sole credit for it, because I'm FAR from the only one who alerted.
But, yesterday when I alerted one particularly insensitive post he'd written I pointed out that this person had been the subject of numerous call-out threads which had been locked previously. I also spoke at some length about how this person would keep posting things just to get under other DUers' skin.
There have to be at least a couple dozen DUers who made this happen and I'm just glad it finally did. As I've said before, in almost 7 years on this site only one person made me angry enough to completely melt down, and I don't lose it without a highly compelling reason.

Oy. Doesn't that reek of, uh, National Socialism?
Oh yeah, I forgot. Primitives are National Socialists.

20. Oh, THAT guy...
He called me a "****ing hypocrite" a couple weeks ago because I said I didn't like going into Walmart but I got my medication there. Glad he's gone.
After which the primitives began whining about "another one," in this case apparently the casual primitive:

It didn't seem like there was anything he could do to get himself TS'd. His other incarnation is still here, but it's a start.

18. the only reason i posted was because of your utter and complete misunderstanding...
pm a mod and ask them to check ip addresses or some such. you might think i was another poster, but i am not.
i am as glad as you are that there are fewer of us now here. that way all y'all "tinfoilers" can stop associating posters that have a digit in common. the one with the idiotic thoughts, as opposed to the clear logic (and i suppose sometimes ideas you don't share) of the other.
voyez-vous, buddy?

ok, here's what you should do. stalk me and my every post. follow me everywhere. make it you du mission to get me. make it your obsession.
do that. that would be the sign of a healthy life well lived.
or perhaps volunteer at a food bank or a shelter to help. donate some money for the cause. maybe just take a long walk in a park.
like i said, whatever...

just stop casting your aspersions, ok? i'm a bit tired of it, and the mods here might just see it as a violation of our rules.

He also has a few cousins. Might take some time to purge all of 'em.
And yet another National Socialist primitive. Reinhold Heydrich lives.

28. vee must all post in lockstep, all other opinions must be purged...
"purged"? your word, elwood. not mine...
my god, do you even read what you post?
and see how scary it is?
do we really want to seek unity by requiring individuals to subordinate their/other ideas to the collective thought of du? (whatever you think that is?)
are you so afraid of another thought that you must purge it?
this is perhaps the scariest thread ever on du. this is not how liberals think or act. we embrace ideas, discuss them. we don't "purge" the speakers of other ideas.
madon...

33. Are we getting a bit carried away, perhaps?
Maybe just a teeny, tiny bit?
The vast majority of DUers, at least in my humble opinion, understand what these boards are designed to be for. We don't mind persons disagreeing with us, or having different opinions. We DO mind when those people choose to insult others for no reason. We DO mind, when we come here to talk about our hardships or personal mistakes, when people with holier-than-thou attitudes rub our noses in it, like cats who forgot to use the litter box one time too often.
How you went from Elwood's choice of the word "purge", which in this case simply means getting rid of some of DU's deliberately irritating trolls, all the way to "lockstep" this, "subordinate" that and "collective" the other is, to put it mildly, interesting. And that goes double when your first post in this topic said, and I quote:
"yay! good riddance!"
So, are you happy to have seen He Who Shares the Last Digit of Your Screen Name (tm) out of here, or not?
The gigantic primitive must be like Fat Che; earlier in this bonfire (not quoted here), the gigantic primitive talked about things such as "last digits" of screen names and "hexidecimals" and other computer nonsense which were silly or meaningless to me.
Probably records ISP (internet service provider) numbers too; that sort of thing.

27. I have a morbid fascination with "Tombstoning", so I researched about a dozen threads where the person of interest in this thread posted.
I'm sure one of you folks would point me to some of his more egregious posts, because, other than his posting from a point of view somewhat different than the common one here, and consistently pointing out shortcomings in the logic and scholarship of some of the more prolific posters, I saw nothing that even remotely warranted being Tombstoned.

30. This is the one that I lost it over:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...
And it's not just what he had to say, it's how he goes about it.
You will also find further links within that thread from other people who were tired of his antics. He was subtle. The vast majority of the time he didn't say anything particularly inflammatory. He just chose a few special moments to make one or more of us feel like shit for no good reason, or to express a point of view which reeks of right-wing talking points just to get a rise out of the community.
I can easily understand why you checked "about a dozen" threads, and came up empty-handed.

29. Thanks. I had noted that poster as an idiot asshole, and another with some common traits, but not encountered it often enough to be certain. You know, that liberal attitude that even a RW jerk might have some positive attributes if you get to know it better. Few encounters since then, but it seems to have been a 100% RW jerk ever since.
Half (or less) of that particular problem has been dealt with (thank you) but the sock puppet(s) are still active, it seems.
