Given the way Obama ran his campaing, what do you expect from him.

I think the introduction of Palin is instructive.  First he paniced, then he went nuclear.  Rational behavior took about a week to kick in,  and when it did, it was still based on scorched earth.

He dosn't discuss.  You agree, or you are crushed.

Facts seem to give him headaces.  Idealolgiy is more important than reality.  This is bad for the economy, especially now that a bit of recovery seems to be happening out there.

The Wright story (and several others like it) also instruct.  If you are not Obama, you are no one.  This essentially means that Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Israel, etc are on their own.   I think they all realize this.  This is going to change the dynamics in a lot of places.

It also might bring a bit of rationality to the bad boys.  Responses won't be tempred from washington if our friends loose patience.   They are no longer our friends.

Worse case scenario... We are faced with something like Tom Clancy's "Sum of All Fears."  Best case is the way things were at the end of the Carter administration.

I can't agree with your worst case assessment: we don't have a Jack Ryan in this President's inner circle to save us.  Best cases assessment seems pretty spot on though.

Obama does seem to be alergic to anyone telling him what he needs to know as opposed to what he wants to know.

I see policies based primarily on wanting everyone to love us (well, him, actually), which means our allies are even more screwed than usual.

China will roll over Taiwan, Russia will bring troops into the Ukraine, and Israel will continue to duke it out with bloodthirsty Islamists while Obama destroys America from the inside with his "a unicorn for every home" style socialism. I hope we can clean the mess up after 4 years of this Obamanation.

Meh, it's a tossup at this point. Could be both.

What stuns me to no end is the absolute worship that the Europeans have for The Exalted One.

They really look at him as being the Second Coming of Christ/Allah. (You have to include both now, since the Muslim population is rapidly taking over the continent.)
