Monday! Yee-HAW!!!!!11111
« on: January 05, 2009, 12:39:29 PM »
Kids went back to school this morning!

So quiet you could hear a pin drop in the house here this morning.  I dropped the mancub off, came home and ate a glorious breakfast with the NEWS on in the background rather than Nick or Boomerang, laid back down and snoozed for two hours with no thundering footbeats up and down the stairs and hall. Happiness is.  :cheersmate:

I have a bit of work to do this week but today is sheer down time. I have to tackle the clutter cave and get the bedroom reorganized soon as it is driving me nutz.

Anyone else running around the house in their tighty whities and sunglasses and singing Bob Seger today?

Not running around the house in my skivies, but I'm still in my jammies, enjoying a day of quiet bliss!  I'm thinking tomorrow I won't be so lucky, as we re supposed to get ice, so I'm thinking school will bedelatyed or early released, if not cancelled outright.

I'm using my day off from work to deal with paying for the spring semester, and buying my textbooks via Amazon.

Gave my bank account a huge boost this morning (couple of paychecks and Christmas cash) so I feel a little better about my situation

I paid up the butt for my Physics textbook, but I still saved about $50 by going through a bookseller on Amazon.  $94 for a brand-new book versus the $145 that the college book store wants for the same thing.  :mental:

Nibbling on a Trader Joe's Joe Joe cookie (peppermint Oreo, essentially   :yum:) and listening to my loud dishwasher right now.

I'll be going to BestBuy later today to make some FUN purchases with my gift cards.  I need to replace my Transformers dvd (I scratched it  :uhsure: ), and buy some other movies and a surge protector/power strip.

Was up working at 6:30....feeling crummy....ended up calling the company and getting an extension on the other 5 reports that were due by 10 and got them until tomorrow at 10am. Must not have upset them any....got 2 more this morning.

Took some advil and went back to bed...slept about 3 hrs....better, but still in jammies.

It's raining again.....I finally ordered a book from Amazon....Ark Building for Dummies. (no pun intended).

We are supposed to have rain until it's to snow on Thursday. They have been forecasting flood watches for tomorrow since yesterday afternoon. It was 68 yesterday when I was out showing houses. Stormed about 5 and we've had intermittent rain since. Tomorrow we are to have as much as 3" of rain. Amazingly, the weather guy is saying we are already in a deficit for precipitation!

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Okay, I got my purchases from BestBuy.

Get Smart   :lmao:
Ghost Hunters Season 1  (The Armory episode kicks ass!  :cheersmate: )
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I got the surge protector, so finally I have the tv running alongside the laptop.

The weather's crappy outside today.  I am hoping that it freezes over tonight and postpones my accounting exam I'm supposed to have at 8am.

I'm currently at work, but doing my accounting homework due tomorrow.  :uhsure: The owner just came in my office and asked what I was doing, but since it's accounting he doesn't mind me doing my homework.  I told him that I'm all caught up on my regular work, there are a couple of things I could do, but I'm going to do them tomorrow.

Swing shift this week.  Woo-hoo.  NOT.

Made hotel reservations for my biz trip next month (Iowa in February--what fun!), and am researching plane fares and rental cars in Cedar Rapids.  Why did I get the ONLY place on earth colder than New Hampshire?

Other than that, just paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork.

It's a downpour outside.

Someone breathed on me Saturday.  I spent today all woozy and crud-like.

I'm excited.  I get to do actual work tomorrow and Wednesday. :hyper:

Anyone want to see what my new knobs look like?    :naughty:

I know they don't look "new", they aren't suppose to.  They are suppose to look like old pewter.

It's nice that you are able to go out and purchase new knobs.  Some of us have to live with the knobs God gave us. :(

Agreed.  They look much more shapely and firmer than the old knobs.

It's a downpour here too.....

I would have really liked it if that person that breathed on you on Saturday....had not come over here afterwards...the other half started feeling awful around noon Saturday....I waited until Saturday night. Guess misery loves company.....let's hope we all feel better soon.

OK;

1. That was knob, singular, not knobs, plural.
