I knew you were most unique. My mom had black hair and blue eyes.

I realize this is a black and white photograph, but here are my blue-eyed parents

Who's the other gray?  I thought I might be the only one.

They have a slight green tint to them.  Otherwise, they're your standard battleship gray.

How is your eyesight?   The gray makes me think you have 20/10 vision, but the green tint has me guessing now.

(and interesting poll would be eye color to eyesight to see if there is a relationship)

I am one of three in my family with Brown eyes. The only one born with brown eyes though.

If I had hair it would be dark brown almost black.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Oh lordy, you're new here, aren't you?  :lmao:

Blame it on bad genes.  Both my parents have bad eyes and have both had detached retinas.  My sister's eyes are terrible.  I've always had bad eyesight and had a detached retina the other year.  The butchering left me legally blind on my left side.  Before then, I could get maybe 20/30 with corrective lenses.

It was Debbie Jaroe, in the sixth grade, who told me I have the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen.  She was right. Famous artists have tried, in their desperate attempts for greatness, to capture the kind of blue that resides in the two oceans of my face.

I have had women describe them as 'intoxicating'.  One of my girlfriend's mother told me I had the best 'bedroom eyes' she had ever seen.  That old chick wanted me BAD.  She loved to wisp her finger across my long lashes as I tried to get her off my lap.

We are still considered blue eyes but with less , but our eyes will often appear green or blue or gray as they tend to take on colors from our surroundings.

Here is what wiki says about gray. My eyes are lt gray as opposed to steel blue-gray.

Quote
A steel blue-gray eyeGray eyes have less melanin than blue eyes, even though they are considered a darker shade of blue (like blue-green). They are most common in European Russia, Finland and the Baltic States.[citation needed] Under magnification, gray eyes exhibit small amounts of yellow and brown color in the iris.

A gray iris may indicate the presence of a uveitis. However, other visual signs make a uveitis obvious.

Visually, gray eyes often tend to appear to change between the shades of blue, green and gray; this is because gray eyes are extremely light, as mentioned before. The color change for gray eyes is usually influenced by the lighting and the colours in the surroundings (such as clothes, makeup, etc.).

The Greek goddess Athena was renowned for having "owl-gray" or "sea-gray" eyes (in Greek, γλαυκῶπις – glaukōpis).[30]

Hey I just noticed that hazel and brown are together -- can I say I have hazel eyes now?

Interesting.   Most people I know with gray eye color have killer vision (pilots).   The green though usually indicates nearsightness (I have no idea if that is a word).   I have brown eyes with green flecks of color -- totally near sighted.

Very sorry to hear about the problems you had with your eyesight.   :(
