I'm still waiting to get off work.  I'm hoping Thor feeling better. But I do have that bottle of Red Rose in the refrigerator. It will be the best New Years yet. I'm with Thor.

I'm just with the cats here.

Ain't nothing going on, but as I'm going to be heading out later today, I'm sure I can make something go on.  I have no idea what.

Life is full of unexpected surprises.

Starting to get ready for dinner.

We are having burnt pork ends and sharing a 2.5 lb live lobster who is sweating out his last hours in the fridge right now.

Finger foods and sparkly juice for later.  And by way of tradition a really BAD bottle of champaigne for the grownups.

I'm about to leave work.  Then home to change clothes and I'm going to a party with Sweet Dee later.

I hope Thor does start feeling better Inga.  :)

Leftover pizza, leftover wine and some beers at home.  :loser: lol
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

Simple dinner at home, and going to bed pretty soon.  Gotta be up at 5am for work, so it's pretty much just another day for me.

Definitely staying in tonight.  It's cold out there!

I sat there during my last half-hour of work and watched the same cop pull over four people.  He just kept circling the block and parking at the bottom of the hill, pulling over speeders.

Just got done polishing off a Chicago style pizza from a small shop here in Galt's Gultch, and now the boy and I are nursing some smooth, carefully aged root beers as we put in movies to ring in the new year with.

We were expecting to bring the boy's mommy home this evening, but one of her suture lines in her chin started weeping pus, so the Ear Nose and Throat doc opened that up, drained out everything he could find, and is sending samples of the material out for culturing.  If it comes back negative for infectious material (he's also got her on a 30 hour regimen of some fairly heavy duty antibiotics, just in case) she'll come home tomorrow.  If the samples grow bug on the culture, she'll have another three days of observation.  :banghead:

So much for looking forward to spending the holiday with my wife in her own home.

Well, my plans have changed.  I was all dressed up and in the car, I turned the car on and when I went to flip the headlights on...nothing.  The daytime driving lights work, but not the regular ones and those are too dim to drive with.  So alas, I'm home for the evening.   :censored:

Get a cab?  You've never been here before I can tell.  And Dee's too lazy to drive and pick me up.  LOL!
