Dr. True Ott July 18, 2008

"It was reported that 500,000 plastic coffins are being stored in Georgia near the Atlanta International Airport—a clue that health officials are not just "anticipating" a flu pandemic but are planning for it.
"State Preparedness Influenza Response Exercises (SPIRE) have been conducted in earnest in all 50 states from 2006 to the present with a recent sense of urgency confirming suspicions that an outbreak is imminent. An article by A. True Ott, PhD, a naturopathic physician with a doctorate in nutrition, has connected the dots on how a global flu pandemic is most likely to get jump started in the very near future. Dr. True Ott reminds his readers that Prescott Bush was heavily invested in the World War II era pharmaceutical giant I.G. Farben that is now the Sanofi Aventis Group, with their vaccine division being Sanofi Pasteur. Mike Leavitt was appointed to the position of Secretary of HHS by George W. Bush and both of them have stated that, should a flu pandemic occur, 100 to 200 million Americans will die."

A place that sells them:

It is an emergency stock of plastic body vaults in case of a pandemic or a mass casualty event on a massive scale.  If something happened and these things weren't available the Manginas on DU would be howling and beating their aging breasts over the unburied bodies. :whatever:

Did any of the DUmmieses note the date on the memo, and ponder on who was the President at that time?

Bushitler has 20 days to take over one of the most populous, decentralized, privately-armed countries in the world. He'd better get cracking. The only other option is that the Obamessiah, who is conspicuously quiet right now, is plotting that same coup.

I mean, look at it: Bush has done nothing but preserve and promote liberties in the US, despite an unprecedented terrorist attack. Obama hasn't even been sworn in, yet the War College is opining on how to control the populace. Hm. At whose feet would I lay the blame for martial law? I'm sure the DUmmies would be proud to get relocated to Obama Acres for re-education, though.

I had heard that F-102 pilots, every time they took off, vastly increased their chances of dying moreso than an "average" fighter pilot.  Something about the single-engine design and the delta wing configuration, and the lack of a fly-by-wire system; adding up to make the Delta Dagger a royal mofo to fly.  There was a squadron (or so) at Griffiss AFB in Rome, with the B-52G wing that was there.

It really did take a "rocket scientist" to fly one.

I love that...  John Kerry joined the Inactive Naval Reserves to try to get around going to Vietnam.  He just got the poor luck of being one of the few actually activated.  So to speed his time up, he volunteers to join a "dangerous" unit, manufactures injuries, and fights kicking and screaming to get sent home early.

Barack Obama spent several days in Iraq on a photo-op.

My husband was stationed at Griffiss for 6 years, I will ask him about it when he wakes up.   I remember when he used to bitch about SAC alert (he laughs about that now).   OT -The B-52 is my absolute favorite plane.  It is incredibly intimidating.   I remember (this was 20 years ago), knowing when my husband was landing because I could hear the planes coming 5 minutes or so before they would pass over the house.  Sometimes the cable would go snowy when they passed.     Watching 6 of them take off with some tankers, one after the other, is something every little boy should witness.   Totally cool.

I do recall reading that GWB had a ton of flying hours so the guy flew his ass off.   Only a total tool moron would disregard the importance of GWB's squadron's mission during that time.

While GWB has taken an incredible beating by the press, history will be very kind to him.    Our spoiled instant news generation will perhaps finally understand the importance of his administration when it is compared to history, and democracy in the ME is firmly rooted.

Also, OT--I remember being on an ROTC exercise at my college, in the Adirondacks.  What I didn't know at the time was that the land that we were using, owned by the school at the time, bordered a "nap-of-the-Earth" training corridor.  I was on this hilltop, and this B-52 came roaring down a reservoir, on an NOE training mission, and I was able to look down on the top of the BUFF as it flew.  Not a usual angle to see one.  I know that if I was the object of said BUFF's attentions on the ground, I would have been more than a tad intimidated (more like petrified).

210. I Don't Think Obama can Save Us
We're progressives, we eschew things like military power so we don't become trained killers. We believe in education, healthcare and using the government to help people, not destroy, so we become teachers, nurses and work at the local government welfare offices.

But we underestimated our "political" rivals. They own the real instruments of power: the military, the CIA, the FBI, the ATF, NSA, DIA...the secret service.

Bush isn't smart enough to have fabricated this war, the neocons did it. They brought him an NIE and told him Saddam was a threat so he said, "Golly, that sounds bad," and so he sent us to war. He didn't build the camps, the neocons brought him a "government study" put it on his desk and told him it would be good to sign it and so he did.

In 19 more days we change presidents...but the generals, agency directors and "governmet experts" are still there. Oh sure, Obama can change many of the appointable positions but could he really fire the entire genreal staff? Imagine the howling coming from Limbaugh and his accomplices in the media. They would cast Obama as the no-service-neophyte-neutering-our-honorable-military-worse-than-Jimmy-Carter. He would be impotent by 2010.

So these neocons take our new president, sit him down in something called a transition briefing. They tell him that, no, he will not be interrupting their little war. In fact he better keep the old SecDef hanging around (can you imagine if Rummy was still lurking about and Obama was made to keep him?). He has to keep the recently promoted Petraeus and the rest. You see, that makes Obama complicitous. You can't prosecute the old regime and its flunkies for war crimes if you are maintaing the exact same illegal occupation and military operations. Then they tell him he needs to shut-up about Gitmo and "enhanced interrogation techniques" or he's going to get a taste of what Bush got on 09/11/01 and he'll be blamed because of his "bleeding-heart liberalism" allowed Amurika to be attacked thereby ruining the cons record of no-more-9/11's. You'll get worse than that caribou Barbie bitch in 2012. They'll put an outright, frothing warmonger out while running continuous loops of the "devastation at OBAMA'S ground zero" worse than any tightly parsed clips of Rev. Wright.

And if Obama still really--REALLY--doesn't want to play ball? Maybe he tries to back-channel the cons and go to congress to cut their money flow by redirecting it to civilian work projects or cutting the military budget to build more schools.

Well, we got lots of right-wing fundie macho mysogynist testosterone junkies that have been undergone intensive "psychological screening" and "trainging" and making sure they are "team players"; and then the cons give them guns and vests and and radios and they tell Obama, "they're going to guard you...and your wife...and your daughters." It'd be a shame if they slipped-up and didn't jump in front of that skinhead meth-addict in time. Accidents happen you know. I mean sometimes even shoes can get through...

...right?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

All the "Century Series" fighters were pretty tough on the pilot population, and although most types were deployed to Viet Nam, over their service lives the losses to aviation mishaps vastly exceeded combat losses (not counting the F-105 fighter-bomber, which was not a fighter first, but primarily a bomber). The delta design of the 102 and 106 required sustained high speed to fly at all, and if the powerplant hiccupped the pilot was very likely going to have a real bad day at the office, especially if that happened on departure or approach at under 500' in those days before the zero-altitude ejection seat was developed.

Another thing for these galactic retards to think about is that the F-102 is the only one of the series of fighters at the time that had a seriuos lack of forward vision. The front windscreen had metal strips running up and down the front half and the cockpit wasn't the most roomy either.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-102_Delta_Dagger

Now compare that F-102 cockpit to an F-16s

http://www.norad.mil/Images/Images_2008/162nd_FW_F-16_large.jpg

I'd say that the F-102 pilot had a little more difficult tile flying and landing then any one flying after they were finally retired in the 70's
