Wow! I didn't realize I was one of the first 20 here. Rebel, you did a great thing here. Admins and mods, thanks for working so hard to make this home.

Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

I thank everyone involved, all of you. The name came from something Freeper and myself were talking about one night when I was talking about setting up the site. The getting us on a new server was a collaboration between WE, myself, and his co-worker. I got the server installed with a Ubuntu LAMP server OS, and they did the rest. I also did all the hardware work. It was a process. I'll elaborate probably later, or tomorrow. Can't believe WE hasn't shown up. Remember the slowness? With Dreamhosed? He was a part of making us faster. A huge part.

I'll speak for many... we're just really glad you joined. You proved to everyone here and CU that friendship is more meaningful than an allegiance to a messageboard.

Well, you speak for me. I only had a problem with one mod/admin at CU.......at first. SR and StLW were always respected by me.

it's hard to believe that it has already been a year, but every minute of this past year has been a blast.  it has really been great to be involved in helping to build something brand new.  I sincerely thank Rebel for letting me help out.  a week ago last year, I was considering building model airplanes or something as a new hobby. :-)

we have a terrifically fun group of people here, and I am looking forward to wasting more of my life with you wonderful people for a long time to come. :)

In my mind this is what would happen:

WE ever carefully is gluing this teeny tiny little plastic piece to another part.
It doesn't go to the right spot...and it sticks.
The plane is thus ruined.
You get pissed and smash it up.
The end of model planes after 5 minutes.
WE looks for another new hobby.

it's hard to smash something that comes in pieces to begin with, but something very close to that has happened before. :-)

Yes, I did.  Have you ever burned a plastic bag?  It makes an interesting noise as it melts.
