They haven't dropped out of school, or have had problems with the law. As far as we know, the Obama family is about as clean as they come. I'm sure if there was any dirt the RNC would have gotten ahold of it.
By the way, people have already trashed the name Malia and trashed Barack and Michelle for NO good reason. Do you think they're not going to if people don't comment on the goofy Palin names?

Mock the mom all you want--she's a governor in public life.
Leave the kids out of it. You can mention the family values issues, if you must, without getting personal about the kids or even naming them.
Poor Amy Carter got it but good. So did Chelsea Clinton. I didn't like it then, and I don't like it now. And there's no way you can demand privacy for Obama's children when you're dragging the little Palin girl through the mud, undeservedly.
I don't think it matters what political party the parents follow, either.
Two wrongs NEVER make a right. Making fun of kids is just WRONG. It suggests a shortage of ideas, decency, or values, too.
