"Covina, Ca.  —  A man dressed as Santa Claus opened fire at a Christmas Eve party in a suburban Los Angeles home that subsequently caught fire, leaving three people dead, police said.

The man arrived at the party in Covina late Wednesday and immediately opened fire with a handgun, police Lt. Pat Buchanan said.

Buchanan says three bodies were found after the fire was put out. He could not say how the fire started or how the three people died.

Buchanan says three other people were injured. A woman in her 20s and an 8-year-old girl had gunshot wounds that were not life-threatening."

Police found the body of Bruce Jeffrey Pardo, 45, at the home of his brother early today in Sylmar. Police would not say how he died.

Authorities initially announced today that three had died in the incident, but later said that investigators sifting through the ashes of the house came across additional bodies.

"We have multiple bodies inside," [Assistant Chief Ed] Winter said. "They're extremely charred and burned."

Supposedly, deep tissue burns (3rd degree) are not as painful as lesser burns. The nerve endings are burned away.

So I would tend to agree...it's much worse for him where he is.

Is it wrong to feel gleeful that he is burning in Hell?

Police believe Bruce Pardo, 45, intended to flee to Canada but his Santa suit melted on his body, leaving him with third-degree burns on both arms. Pardo later shot himself at his brother's home, where authorities found $17,000 on him and a plane ticket for a flight from Los Angeles to Canada.

I am sure he had SOME 2nd degree  burns, and some 3rd degree burns, too. They weren't all third degree. But, yeah, Hell is much worse than either.
