A Chinese restaurant in Brighton was gutted by fire tonight, Christmas Eve.

The House of Poon, 2185 Monroe Ave., was heavily damaged after a fire broke out in a second-floor attic area about 5 p.m.

Brighton Fire Chief Jim Quinn said the restaurant has four occupants at the time of the fire. It was unclear whether they were workers or customers.

The fire was under control about 40 minutes after it began, Quinn said. Firefighters cut through the roof of the restaurant to help dose the flames.
It's NOT Florida.

What were they dosing the flames with?
