They didn't have that ornament at the store...but that's something to keep in mind.  LOL!  I love that movie, the 24 hr marathon starts Wednesday!

That movie is based off the book In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash.  It's an entertaining book.  :)

Mia is more then a special person, she is a testement to the fact that there is good...just plain good in the world and it doesn`t rely on political beliefs or anything else.

That same thought goes out to BEG and so many others here as well. :)

You're like a crack addict but with Hallmark ornaments.  I'm just glad you didn't have the one I sent.  :)

The house is now a historical monument.  They're doing an essay contest, "What I Want For Christmas".  The winner gets to spend Christmas Day at the house.

My cousin was telling me how her husband wants to go to Ohio for their next vacation (so he can go to the NFL Hall of Fame).  Anywho, then I said "OH!  You can go to Cincinnati and see the house in A Christmas Story. And if you take your ticket from the house, you get a discount at the Chinese restaurant."  LOL!!  She was not amused.

My daughter (the youngest) and her friend are playing a game in the entry way.  They are singing "Silent Fart in the Wal-Mart" to the song "Silent Night".   :thatsright:

BEG, do you hit their day after sale? It's a staple for my mother and I to hit the Hallmark store the day after Christmas. I get my 'maybe' ornaments the day after that way--whichever ones I can still find. The series or ones I can't see not on my tree get bought beforehand.

My Mom and I used to do it every year but the last few years I haven't because I have too many.  I think I'm going to start doing it again.  There were a lot of yugly ones that I don't like anymore that we bought on sale after christmas when I use to be all frantic about it.  I'm more choosy now.

You know what? This describes how I've been to a tee with them.  :cheersmate: I'm finding after taking a little break from them except for the series ones), I actually am finding some I like again. I really like to get the nativity ones when they have them. I should take a few closeups of the tree. I have one of the 1977 carousel ornaments on the tree.  :-*

I have the whole Normal Rockwell series from the 70's/80's...that was my series growing up that I got every Christmas eve.  :-*
