It's good to know there is still decent people in this world.

Today was a suprisingly good day.  The Christmas spirit was most definitely in the air.

My mom is down visiting us for the week.  So today we went to get pictures taken for our son's first Christmas.  We first went to a studio where they had a holiday deal going on.  Nothing huge, but a nice little packet of really nice photo's for $10.  We really wanted to get more because Daniel took such great photo's, but we're just flat out broke right now and even that $10 was a lot of money to us.  The lady helping us out was able to gather how much it was "costing" us, but also how much it meant to us, and she gave us the packet of photo's for free.

Next we hopped over to the mall so Daniel could meet Santa for the first time.  We wanted to get a picture, but the pictures they took where stupidly expensive.  $15 for one 5x7 photo.  And they had a big ole sign that said we couldn't take our own pictures.  Well Santa was having none of that.  He told us to just ignore the sign and let us snap a couple of photo's of Daniel sitting in his lap playing with his beard.  It was really a nice thing to do, and it made my Moms day.

So it is really nice to know that there are still some really decent people out there.

Are you going to post those photographs when you get them?

We haven't seen the infant for some months now, after all.

Maybe the Santa one.  The others aren't digital.

What wonderful people they are for helping you, DJ. :)   The Christmas spirit is most certainly alive and well, even this year.

I've noticed that this year, people have continued with generosity and kindness towards each other, and even when things are looking down for a lot of people, somehow they still find ways to help others.   A co-worker, who knows the hell I've been going through the last month having had to return to the hospital for you-know-what, recently gave me a Christmas card and told me not to open it until I got home.  When I did open it to read it, a $20 fell out. I got a little teary-eyed... She does so much for our employer and other coworkers, as well as cooking our holiday dinners and other good things....I wish I could repay her somehow.  She's like a mom to me.

I'm so glad you posted this.  It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

The other day we were in Hobby Lobby and a young man (in his very earl 20's) must have been having issues with his credit/debit card.  He was on the phone with the bank and a lady paid for his stuff with out him knowing.  When he got off the phone with the bank the cashier told him that a lady paid for his stuff he almost cried.  She said to tell him "Have a Merry Christmas".  He went running out of the store to find her (it was the lady who was behind him in line).  It made me feel so good to see people being so good.  It made me wish I would have done it but since I witnessed it the rest of the day I was holding doors for people, I took back a cart for a lady who had a baby in the parking lot (it was cold as heck out and windy too that day) and in general happy.

I am normally very polite to people I see in public but this day I was especially nice to everyone.
