Christmas music
« on: December 17, 2008, 05:10:55 PM »
I was actually listening to the Bill Bennett radio show and this was one of their "filler" songs.

This young gentleman has a beautiful voice. Josh Groban. Enjoy!

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

That's a nice version, I love carols, most of my favourite hymns are carols.

Another Josh Groban video, this time for "O Holy Night."  The way he sings this gives me chills.   :o

To each his own and all, but I can't stay silent any more.

Josh Groban is no more a classically trained singer than I am a NASCAR driver. He, like Britney Spears, happened to be in the right place at the right time and the Heavens opened up for him -- God only knows why.

His voice makes my skin crawl. No depth, no clarity, no sound, just vocal cords. Yuck.

Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest. By all means, enjoy whatever works for you.

Man, you compared him to Britney!  That's some hate right there ;)

Naw, I don't hate anybody. I just happen to know a little about his background, have heard him warble, and utterly fail to understand why everybody thinks he's the second coming of Jesus Christ.

No projection, no power, no resonance, no talent.

Just lucky.

For those of you who despise Josh, well there's the yt posted by Zeus of animals with funny lips singing a Christmas tune. That's the great thing about this message board, there is something for everyone.  :-)

By the way I loved that song, zeus.

Goodness between work, my family and you (yes you), when would I have time to become informed?

Schade, seriously.  The Grob should come first, or second at best.  Time to reprioritize ;)   :-)

Well, sweetie, he is like 27 or 28 now.  He was a child prodigy.  He could do baritone to alto when he was 10.  Amazing instrument.
