I have jury duty tomorrow. Someone from the court system just visited my website

Is that a coincidence? Unless the case involves a McCain supporter I doubt that that alone will get me excused.

Is there a way for me to get out of jury duty? My sister is graduating Friday, out of state, and I plan on attending!

15. the last time i was called for jury duty, the prosecutor was asking questions of prospective jurors on a matter of a young man breaking into a woman's house and stealing some things, etc....

i had no problem doing the duty, but then the prosecutor asked, "Does anyone feel it would be a miscarriage of justice if a guilty person went free of a crime they committed?"

I...and i was the only one...raised my hand and said, "It would be a miscarriage of justice if an innocent person was convicted of a crime they did not commit."

I was the first person excused....

16. I worked as an investigator for a law firm for a few years. When we got the jury list, I would research each person to find out more about them. You want to know the best to choose. I would imagine that the potential governmental attorney (more likely their staff) want to know the same thing. No big tin-foil thing.

I would love to get on jury duty, but no such luck thus far. Though my wife being an attorney in town will probably get me kicked off most juries.

19. How do you know who visited your website?

Good question, from the mountain man primitive, above.

But alas it never gets answered.

Excellent question, and how would one find out what the real name of Truth Hurts A Lot is?  Maybe he's been running a website with Symbolman?

There is no secrecy on the Internet.

I am not at all knowledgeable about it but from what I have been told regarding my employers website there is much info available to someone.
Another forum I was on that was private had a website owner backtrack the clicks from a picture that was linked to.

Be aware.

A hit to any website will at a minimum include your IP address.
From that you can easily extract your company or ISP and often times a close hit to your physical location.  Of course you can use any one of a number of anonymous proxies to hide where you're at and who you are.

In my case I'm on a satellite connection so my IP typically tracks back to northern VA or Denver. :naughty:

I'm shocked, SHOCKED I tell you to hear that a DUmbass is trying to get out of :

A) Of the parent's basement.
B) It's civic duty.
C) Being a productive citizen.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Hey DUmmie, they excused you because you were too stupid to answer the question asked and turned it around 180 degrees.   They knew you were a loony lib.
