SHAMEFUL:  Berkeley City Council Attacks Marines!
Move America Forward
January 30, 2008 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SAN FRANCISCO – The City of Berkeley, California has passed two resolutions attacking the United States Marine Corps, calling the Marines, “uninvited and unwelcome intruders in the city.”

The Berkeley City Council voted to condemn the Marines on Tuesday night (January 29th) as part of a campaign by anti-war activists to shut down a U.S. Marine Recruiting Center located in the city of Berkeley.

The votes by the Berkeley City Council were immediately condemned by Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org), the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization.

They also gave Code Pink a reserved parking spot in front of the recruiters and also they don't have to apply for any permits for 6 months.

I heard on Fox this morning that some congressman has introduced legislation today to strip all federal funding from the city of Berkley.....seems as though they receive about 2-million from Washington......

Heard on the radio this morning that now the loons in Berkeley are trying to pass a zoning ordnance that would put recruiters in the same category as porn shops.  This is why I never get too defensive when outsiders slam CA; shitbirds like this tend to take the wind out of our sails as far as a defensive posture goes  :banghead: :banghead:.  You'll have to take my word for the fact that there are some normal people that live out here.

Well....we left in 1988, and never looked back......it is really sad, because it was a great place before it seemed to start to rot internally....
