Report: Joe the Plumber Says McCain 'Appalled' Him
« on: December 10, 2008, 07:51:26 AM »

'Joe the Plumber' told conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Tuesday that he felt "dirty" after hitting the campaign trail with Republican presidential nominee John McCain and "seeing some of the things that take place," Politico reported.

Joe Wurzelbacher said he was specifically put off by McCain when it came to talk of the $700 billion bailout.

"When I was on the bus with him, I asked him a lot of questions about the bailout because most Americans did not want that to happen," Wurzelbacher told Beck. "I asked him some pretty direct questions. Some of the answers you guys are gonna receive they appalled me, absolutely. I was angry. In fact, I wanted to get off the bus after I talked to him."

Wurzelbacher said he stayed on the trail with McCain "honestly, because the thought of Barack Obama as president scares me even more."

Wurzelbacher, however, offered kind words to McCain running mate Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

"Sarah Palin is absolutely the real deal," he said.

Well, McCain appalled a lot of us, I think most of us here can totally agree with everything Joe said in that entire excerpt.

To be fair, McCain voting in favor of the bailout made me feel a little dirty for voting for him as well.

I agree with Joe, too.

Let nothing frighten you.

God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

While I agree also, I kind of think that Joe is trying to extend his 15 minutes. That or the left is still trying to slam McCain, which is like shooting fish in a barrel.

I was against the bailout and made no effort to hide it.  McCain lost my vote that month..but I eventually came back to vote for Sarah.

Joe the Plumber is the real deal too.

I agree with that but where else in the world can an ordinary citizen buck up against a powerful politician, wind up with a book deal, notoriety and a multi-million law suit against the state for invasion of his privacy. Gotta love Joe. His plumbing days may be over.

McCain might have had a chance in the election if he had listened to Joe. McCain's rating went down the tube when he ran his dumb ass to DC to broker a bailout like he was some kind of Sitting Bull. He did one thing right and that was to pick Sarah as his running mate; Gov. Palin in 012.

That was about the ONLY thing McLame did right. Other than that, he ran a lukewarm campaign and tried to make nice with Obama. Sorry, but with battling the most leftist candidate since McGovern who has risen to the top of the political food chain by less than  democratic means (Blair Hull, Jack Ryan, etc.) then ya DON'T PLAY NICE WITH THEM, PERIOD!
