Gifts Under $25
« on: December 09, 2008, 09:17:43 PM »
Gifts from cheap people.  Stocking stuffers.  Whatever you want to call them, Amazon has pages of gifts under $25.

Turin's Kahlua-filled chocolates?!  Uh...no.  I tried the Turin's Bailey's-filled chocolates.  Not quite so tasty as the real thing. :puke:  (because the alcohol's missing  :innocent: )

a $20 bill

Honest, eminently flexible and less than $25.

Yep, and much better than most gift-cards.  I noticed at work that when a coworker purchased an American Express gift-card, she got charged 4.95 on top of the value of the card.  Ridiculous. :mental:  And it seems to be spreading to other cards as well.  Hence why I typically ask for spending money every Christmas (or a Zune gift-card).

I've gotten that frozen hot chocolate thingy before.  It's actually pretty good.  :)

You just gave me a great idea -- maybe for next year.  A clear plastic holder for a bill called The Currency Card -- sort of a pet rock.  Yeah, you can buy Hallmark Cards will bill cutouts but this would look just like a credit card.

OK, it is out there.  I love everyone here so much that I gift you all my idea.

Half-Price Cookware

More Amazon.com stuff...

$25 for a nice Calfalon pan seems  a little more reasonable.

I have an almost 7 months old nephew.  He'll get clothes size 9-12 months.  :)

My nephews are each getting a $100 Game Stop gift card.

They should like that.

You obviously love your nephews more than me, I love them $20 worth.  :wink:  LOL!  Actually, I love everyone that gets a gift $20 worth.   :-)

$20 is about what they get for birthdays, which are in Dec and Jan.... :thatsright:

My oldest nephew will be 16 next month, so I will be sending him a $100 gas card. Something a little extra special. Plus, I have been known to send them money at other times of the year "just because" and I want them to be able to do fun stuff.

One nephew's birthday is in January, then March & May for the other two.  They're only 7, 5 and 6 months.  Really, I just have a budget for everyone, and it's pretty much $20 per person.  I'm willing to go up a little, like if I see something that's $30 and perfect for someone, and since I do a lot of my shopping online, I don't include shipping in the price either for someone.  But I really just try and stick around $20 a person.  :)

My dear friends,

Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I'm not getting an annual bonus and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea and should you wish to do the same.  I've
included the instructions and a picture below.

How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:

You need four maxi pads to make a pair.
Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.

Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.

These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags.

I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself....

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Walmart has Calloway golf balls....a dozen for $20.

Guess what the other half is getting in his stocking?  :uhsure:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

As an ipod-aholic, I love those gift cards they have pretty much everywhere!  You can get one for $15, and that's quite a few songs or even an album!
