Saturday Sleazing-Off Day!

Goal for the day?  As little as possible.  8 am, been up since 7, fed the critters, doing second load of laundry now, then once that's done, ABSOLUTELY NADA.  Watching football, some quick stuff for dinner (heat and eat), and just generally kicking back waiting for the storm to roll in tonight and into tomorrow.

14 degrees right now, will warm up a bit as storm comes in, and then the wind is really gonna kick in.

I've been up since 7 loading up the crock pot.  I have a dinner party for 8 tonight.  I am making a slow-cooked Moroccan style Lamb Shanks, Greek Spinach Pie (Spanakopita), mushroom fried rice, roasted sweet potatoes and a salad.
My house keeper is here now cleaning the house and I am waiting till she's done so I can get back in the kitchen and prepare the rest of my dinner.... :-)

I'm going to that North Texas Gun get-together here shortly. Then I need to stop by a few places to do some research on a project I'm working on.

Up since about 6:30am, have already filled the wood box up for the day (we heat with wood)....fed the livestock...and now am drinking coffee.  Have little else planned for the day other than maybe a movie or two and some steaks for supper.  Gonna be as lazy as I can possibly be on the farm today.   :cheersmate:

My goals for today before 7pm:  vacuum the house and basic straightening up, make up the bad, shower and blow out my hair.  :)

I missed Turkey Day due to illness so I have some major "sleazing-off" to do.

After a half-assed apartment cleaning and a decision to outright ignore the laundry...

- throwing a big turkey breast into the oven. (too big for just me but that's the point)  :-)

- readying potatos corn and rolls (a lot for a single dude)

- having store bought pumpkin pie and whip cream (some of which I had for breakfast)

I shall be cracking open beers and parking my ass on the couch for football or around here for the internets the rest of the day!

I am old.  We had my husband's work christmas party last night and I was ready for a nap by 1:00 today (haven't had one yet though).  One of the newer industrial designers decided to "streak" through the bar.  He put on a "tucan" g-string and nothing else.  Then he slid across our table knocking all the glasses off and braking them.  Every year there is always at least one of them doing something stupid.

The photographer got a few snapshots of it.  If I get one in my email I am so going to post it.  Also a few of the crazy people did "ugly sweater contest" and boy were they over achievers.  For Schade and Mia, Deb went all out.  You would have died seeing her.  She went to a thrift store and got a white sweater with a cowel neck (had to be from the 80's).  It had a christmas tree on the front done in gold and silver.  It had all kinds of doo-dads on it.  Then she has on silver lame leggings and tacky gold high heels.  She even put on a "Hanna Montana" fake pony tail.  Another couple had on the tackiest sweaters ever and they added lights to them.  I will have to show you when we get some pictures.

Getting nice and chilly now, snow is almost ready to come down here.  Laundry done, but not folded.  God I'm so lazy.

I have killed several beers today, just to watch them die.  And the chili?  Oh dear, the chili...the chili.  Good thing I don't have live sound on this.

Well, I DID make it to the North Texas Gun Owners thingy today. Nice range and gun shop. The weather was AWESOME!!! Makes me NOT miss Minnesota!! :-) I did meet Texas Fred and a few other folks. We have a game plan to work on a gun/ carry advocacy thing here in Texas, hoping to change the laws a bit.

I just popped in to see what was up.

Full day of insanity at the waterpark with a birfday party for a friends kid over in their suite this afternoon. Whole pack of toddlers and little ones running wild.

We were down in the park till 9 and then came back to the room and chowed some delivery pizza.

Gonna be checking out tomorrow morning and spending a chunk of the day in the parks again before heading home.

Been a good weekend. :)

Home from work.  I get tomorrow off from work for the first time in a LONG time.  I may go to the movies, as I've not gotten to do anything fun in awhile.  Has anyone here seen "Twilight" yet?  I haven't even read the books (but would like to) and the movie looks good (or rather, Robert Pattinson looks good :naughty:  :innocent: )...  I've gotten enough points on my Regal Crown Club card to get some free goodies at the movie theatre.  :-)
