Douchebag of the year nominations
« on: December 03, 2008, 08:00:58 PM »
I nominate Madison's Very Own Imran Khan, late of Bollywood fame for wearing this T-shirt when not far from where he was, actual terrorists were preforming actual acts of terrorism.

Madison WI is fast becoming the Douchebag capital of the world out pacing Berkeley, New York City,  Seattle, Paris France, and Brussels Belgium combined.  So proud are Madisonians of this fact there is lobbying afoot to change the state animal from badger to douche.  Don't even try to point out that the douche isn't an animal.  Nobody here can hear you.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

Duke I live 15 miles east of Madison and there are some nights when I can feel the stupid from there trying to suck in IQ from the surrounding areas! :-)

Where do you hail from?

I second your nomination! There's not a bigger douchebag that I can think of.

I'm originally from Oak Creek but I have lived in Doucheville for the last 15 years or so.

That one chick who did the impeachment ornament for McDerment seems like she could be a distant second.  But for my money you are right.  No bigger douche than Imran Khan.

Well I agree with the OP for the most part but did that guy earn it for the whole year? His douchebagery is undeniable for sure. Still, if we are nominating...

...this guy is a Douchebag of the highest order.  :evillaugh:
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

You know, if he was running against a RINO, I would love to see him win a Senate seat.

Oh, well then, too bad the douchebag didn't win.  I think Al Frankin as a Democrat Senator would have a very hard time comporting himself with civility and decorum and he's high profile enough that it could be good for Republicans the same way Michael Moore was good for Republicans.

It's sort of like with the market, until the market actually finds the true bottom, all the bailouts will just prolong the inevitable.

On the other hand, once they get entrenched it's hard to get rid of them so maybe there are no magic bullets.

But I'd like it if there were at least one.

As much as it pains me to have a sleaze like that represent our state, I definitely can appreciate what you are saying. Sometimes you have to find that bottom, in order to rise back up.

On the whole recount till you win note, I wrote a post elsewhere hoping that if Franken wins on a recount, that he wins by a landslide. And by doing so, cast doubt in every voter's mind about the validity of our elections. Maybe then we will have meaningful election reform and get rid of crap like multilingual ballots, voting without ID, same day registration... and so forth.
