Snowy Hump Day!

Lets see...

Oh yeah.

Quote
Dane (Wisconsin)
URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN WI
628 AM CST WED DEC 3 2008
...SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA THIS MORNING...
.SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST
WISCONSIN THIS MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON. BETWEEN 3 AND
6 INCHES OF NEW SNOW IS EXPECTED. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF FROM
WEST TO EAST DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. GUSTY
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CAUSE SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING AFTER THE
SNOW ENDS.
A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE AT THE SURFACE COMBINED WITH A MID-
LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RETURN OF WINTRY
WEATHER TO THE REGION.

Early release day at school and my daughter gets to go get her braces "Adjusted" late this afternoon which will put me on the interstate during the idiot driver in rush hour phase of the snow storm.

On a plus note I picked up season 3 of The Unit and watched a good chunk of it last night. Also got Wanted and a few other cool things. The South Park "Imaginationland" rocked!  :-)

Whats on your plate for this fine wintery Wednesday?

Have more proposals to do at the office and need to close some sales for end of year biz---to keep the job for a while longer. We're constantly told that we're only as good as the current month, doesn't matter our past record or how long we've been there. Typical of sales management, at least at my company.

Going to a seminar tonight, free food (but nothing is free) with info from Wachovia on 401k's, tax avoidance, etc. We're hoping to get some good advice, but SR reminded me this morning to "sign nothing". We're going with the sis and BIL.

It's 23 here this morning....nope tv just said it's up to 29! But it's supposed to get windy tonight and snow is possible tomorrow...rain for sure.

Got 8 new reports yesterday....so need to get pics and get them done.

Probably hit the grocery either today or tomorrow.

Today is our "warm" day of the week..in the high 40's, after today it starts to drop, just in time for the coldest day of the week on Sunday, which happens to coincide with the Christmas parade.  Which my daughter is dancing in.  Wearing the santa dress costumes from the spring recital.   Which look like this:

Can you say BRRRRRRR?   Even with black leggings and a turtleneck under the dress, they are going to freeze their butts off!

Have to run down to the "city"  (ha) to get the TB test read, and then next week I will be gainfully employed by the county school district.  Yay me.
Might do some shopping while I'm down there, but I'll see what I feel like when I'm out.

What a cutie!  If I was Mr. Flame I would spend all my time cleaning my gun and rehearsing my "get her home by 11" speech.

I love the Unit!  Such a good show.  Haven't seen Wanted.  Imaginationland - I think that was just on last week maybe?  Good call :)

Little rain tomorrow, no snow until Sunday.  More training, aka "Death by Powerpoint" at work today.  Freeroll poker tournament tonight.  Several beers will be consumed and insults about other idiot players will be uttered.

I brought my mom home last night after having surgery.

I am staying at her house, until I am sure she is going to be ok. She is pretty weak and still on a "soft" diet...so I have been fixing her some things...jello, fruit sorbet, etc.... Other then having a bad cough, that could of really caused some problems, she is resting and doing ok.

For a while we thought her glasses were still at the hospital, in the middle of the night I heard something..she was dumping out her purse on the bed looking for them.... :thatsright:

She is not supposed to be out of bed!!!

What is the deal with purses??  My mom had to change out her purse and start using a new one before we went to the hospital....so not only am I carrying my bag, her bag, and pushing her in the wheelchair...I am also carrying this heavy  :censored: purse.

No snow here...took this last night:

Does it match your shoes? :p

My day was just plain stupid.  I'm glad it's over.  The weather was nice... mid 50's and no wind.  Too bad my day off (tomorrow) is going to be an icebox.

Hump Day?  It's Friday.  For me at least.

Supposed to be the warmest day of the week for us to, raining all day though.  Temps gonna plummet tomorrow.

Ahh, today is a great day.  I had two classes this morning, they went fine.  I'm only slightly worried about one or two people in my group in my macro class.  We have two group projects to do.  The good thing is the way they grade projects based on peer evaluations.  So, the professor thinks the overall project is a 90, great.  BUT you have your peer evaluation, if you didn't do squat and get a 0% from your peers, 90 x 0 = 0 for your grade, so if there's a slacker they don't get to slide based on everyone else's work.

And in most excellent news...I picked up my Wii today!  :yahoo:  I'm leaving work in a few minutes to head home and see if I can figure out how to hook this sucker up.

Oooh, have fun with that! Try out the bowling game, if you get a chance.  I LOVED playing that on my brothers' Wii over Thanksgiving.  :-)

Oh, and speaking of gifts, the cellphone won't be my only Christmas present  :uhsure:

Toshiba @ Best Buy

It's so cute, and the ratings are near perfect for it.   :cheersmate:

I've played the Wii before and I really liked it.  I'm not a big video gamer, heck I don't even like Rockband/Guitar Hero very much, but I really like the Wii.  My dad bought me the gaming system and my mom bought me Wii Fit today.  (Basically, I tell my parents what I want and how much, they give the okay and I go and buy it and put it on their credit card that I have with each of them.)  I'm gonna pick up Mario Kart in a couple of weeks when I get paid at the real estate office.   :-)
