Toosday! :-)
« on: December 02, 2008, 07:21:03 AM »
Morning!

We are getting more snow tonight. Yippee.

I'm not going to able to utilize my man space here at the garage work table for too much longer I am thinking.  The space heater is NOT keeping ahead of the chilliness as well as it should.  :(

Got a fair amount of sleep last night for a change.

I am going to thread lights on the wreath and get it hung up today and then venture into the big city to buy a replacement for the 18 year old clock radio that gave up the ghost this morning. Maybe price out some two stage snow blowers. By God I live an exciting life!  :hyper: :-)

Build a man a fire and he will be warm for awhile.

PLEASE....keep all that snow for yourself.   :-)  It was 26  :censored: degrees here this morning.  How long 'til Spring?  At least the skies are clear for now.

I'd sell you my snow-thrower, but I'm going to need it by the weekend.

It was 23 here this morning. Those greyhounds aren't taking long to go outside. Usually Xena won't come when called---at least not til she's good and ready. She was very ready this morning.

There's still a little snow, but only on the grass.

You have clear skies?     It's still really gloomy here, but if you have clear, then we have hope! :-)

I have not slept well for a couple days, but that is part of life. I am just happy I can breathe and walk without assistance at this point in my life!!!  I am still a little jacked up from a couple work related injuries over the years...something DUmmies don't have to worry about...hard to get hurt on the job when you don't have one!  :lmao:

Today my mom is having surgery in Las Vegas...her thrid surgery since July...this one is just more internal.

It looks like they want to keep her at least one night. So I will find a place to sleep, I won't leave her there by herself.

If they have wi-fi I will check in.....I wonder if the hospital has showgirls, video poker or margaritias??? Well my mom won't have time for all that anyways...and I am just happy reading a book.

"Man space" in the garage?  That's what my husband calls his space, too.  Sometimes he calls it "Danland."

I'm not allowed in Danland or the man space unless I'm leaving to go buy him Corona.

Spent the morning in a kindergarden class.  Still trying to get the headache to go away.

I deep in the depths of Nutcracker hell right now, with the Christmas parade coming up this weekend, just to add extra "fun".

I just need to survive through the 14th.

Oh, and my daughter's "friend" ,  whom she went on a date with last weekend (before T-day), may have mono.  Oh joy.

Exactly! There's not many places left we defend to the death. My shop is one of them. If "Toots" does anything besides just walk thru she is taking her life in her hands!  :-)

Now if I could just get her to quit "borrowing" my tools when I'm not home! :hammer:

Went and had my diagnostic mammogram with an ultrasound.  It ended up being nothing to worry about but when the lady was done doing the mammogram the radiologist sent her back to take two more pictures, the last one hurt like a b*tch.  I had heard that mammograms hurt but it didn't hurt until the very last one.  I just about screamed.  I was worried for a bit because they told me when  I went in if they didn't see anything on the mammogram then they wouldn't need to do the ultrasound and then they told me I needed the ultrasound.  Anyway, everything looks ok so I am very happy.

I bought the very first christmas present of the season today (for my youngest daughter).  I feel so behind.

Today was my first day back for Winter Term.  I spent $50 at the bookstore for the Excel book.  :(

I think I'm gonna go to Jason's Deli for lunch today.  I'm addicted to broccoli cheese soup.

Well, I just got talked out of that LG tv by a Best Buy worker/classmate.  That tv may LOOK nice, but apparently its a piece of crap that always needs work.  :( I've been told to wait until summertime, as that is when there will be some good deals on more reliable flat-screens.   So if any of you even think about looking at the LG for yourself, don't do it, unless you want a tv that shuts off randomly and changing the channel can take a few seconds (and has been returned repeatedly to the Savannah Best Buy, as it turns out.)

In the meantime, I'm looking at a new cellphone (yeah, I got some cheap piece of Nokia crap, but it will work until my contract is ready for an upgrade on January 2nd). What do y'all think of this?

ACC....thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I was looking at them last night on line for a potential Christmas present for the other half.

I have a Verizon Treo 755.....I don't recommend it.....too many problems and I'm on my second replacement.  I was going to give it to M as he needs a new one and get the Blackberry Storm....but I just heard on Sunday that they have a ton of problems and to wait about 6 months on them too.
