Snowy Sunday
« on: November 30, 2008, 08:33:05 AM »
Sounds like the midwest will be hit with snow today. I hope everyone is done with the Thanksging travels and are back home safe.

Are you still eating leftovers? I could use a slice or two of pie, I like pie.

I am looking at a high temp of 74 today, but it will be hard to enjoy, as I will be working.

Enjoy your Sunday!

No snow, but cold again--low of 18 this morning, and we've only warmed up to 24 or so.  More rain/sleet coming in the next day or two.

Heading down to make breakfast in a few.  Turkey/bacon omelette, anyone?  Maybe a couple of avocado slices on top?  Other than what I'm going to eat today, everything else is in the freezer.

43 degrees now with rain changing to snow tonight.  Probably no accumulation here except for ice on the bridges.   :banghead:
The drive to work tomorrow should be "fun".

Gloomy again today....and raining right now. Supposed to be like this again tomorrow...but the temperature is to drop, so if it drops before the rain is gone....it will be nasty as snow is predicted in the mountains and maybe here in the valley. Lug....it's about 44 here....with all the puddles and leaves everywhere, if this stuff freezes it will really be a mess.

Going to the annual Children's Hospital benefit....Fantasy of Trees....this afternoon. The Civic Center is full of 300+ trees and vignettes to celebrate Christmas. Much of which was auctioned off last Tuesday night to benefit the hospital. Today is the last day. Going with my girlfriend and her niece, then we are going to go see Four Christmases.....having a "chick day" and leaving the guys out of it which makes them greatly relieved... :-)

You bastard!

Yeah, we got a few inches here and it's still going. I don't mind the snow so much, it's just the other drivers here who have lived in the midwest for 20 years NOT knowing how to drive in it.

No work today, just spending time with the boy, watching football, and updating my blog.

Yep, it was so cold I had to close my windows this morning.
They're open again.

Way to rub it in.  :-)

When we woke up it was snowing, but luckily it's melted already. But it's grey and dreary and colder. We brought all the clay pots in yesterday and put the covers on the patio furniture. The back is official winterized now.

OK, my weekend was like this. Playing City of Heroes and watching MST3K.
(I watched Gorgo, the Incredible Melting Man, and I just started Future War.)
So I needed to empty the garbage, walked out and its snowing! I last looked out on Friday when it was a nice 52 degrees.

I'm wearing a t-shirt, sweats, and Crocs with no socks. Do I go back and change? NoooOOOooo. I'm feeling all Mannnly and walk thru the snow to the bin.

My feet are FREEZING! I had to soak them in the tub for relief.
--not doing that again!

First snow of the year and I want to slap Al Gore. "You promised warming! Does this look like warming to you?!!11!!!" > Bslap!<

Grumble. Grumble. Grrrr. I'm not done with summer yet.

It's a little chilly today and overcast.

I'm at the real estate office, so I'm not really doing anything right now.  LOL

I'll be heading to work today, but for now, sitting here paying my bills and all that crap. :(

I can't wait for the semester to end.  I'll be able to work more hours and get a holiday bonus (my company, despite the economic downturn, still intends to give us a Christmas bonus. :) )

Aiy yi yi!

Snow is starting to come down pretty heavy.  I need to get to the store before all the idiots scrape the shelves clean of bread, toilet paper and milk. (EVERY freaking storm it happens!)  I just happen to need those things as part of the weekly shopping trip.

I might just have the kids home for a snow day tomorrow.

In my defence Sunday afternoon is my normal  (One of them) Grocery shopping days.

And the locusts had sucked the bread aisle, the toilet paper stocks and the bread shelf dry by the time I got there. :-)

Turkey, stuffing, candied yams, collard greens and gravy.

We had our Thanksgiving day meal a few days late.  Wifey had to work.
