Deep-Frying Turkey Leads To Fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A house fire that was put out once roared up again hours later. The second fire destroyed the home on Brickmont Drive, near Brick Church Pike and Briley Parkway.

At first, fire officials said it was a rekindling of an earlier fire at the home. That one started in the kitchen while someone was deep-frying a turkey.

It did enough damage that the family that lived there had to leave, officials said.

As traditional as pumpkin pie are the annual stories about someone burning their house down in a turkey frying incident. Here is the first of this year's.  :-)

I saw that on the news.  I didn't realize it was related to turkey-frying.

The house was pretty burnt up.

Only an idiot would deep fry a turkey INDOORS!!! That's an outdoor project and needs to be done on concrete or a cleared out, safe area. (Decks don't count)

A few hours later, flames erupted again, but this time in a separate part of the house.
