For me, it's gotta be the stuffing, with gravy on top.

Being with relatives that I see too little of, and eating without worrying about watching the calories.

I'll be at worked and my wife and son are in Maryland.  No Thanksgiving for me this year.

Sitting on the recliner after dinner and enjoying the happy full tum feeling with a cup of coffee and a warm slice of pie.

That'd be nice!!

I hate "Holidays". Too much BS that comes with them. Too many expectations. I gotta make some of my pecan pies today for tomorrow. I get rave reviews on every one I make. And, NO, I'm NOT sharing my recipe!!!!

I use REAL whipped cream. It's easy to make and isn't full of nasty chemicals.

Besides:

According to a Wired Magazine article, consumers are paying 41 cents per ounce for mostly water and air: twice the cost of homemade whipped cream.

I guess I'm just a cheap bastard, but that's how one needs to be when they're living off of a military retirement. I DO need a job.......

Why frozen turkey sex does it for me...um...erm...never mind!

Actually I like everything except for that gross cranberry jelly slimy stuff. Yeech!

What I really like are the leftovers. A turkey sandwich heavy on the mayo with some stuffing in the sandwich is very yummy.

I look forward to spending time with family in Texas, and enjoying the various desserts my stepgrandmother is making.  ;)

My mom's cornbread dressing.  *drool*  Instead of one big batch, she bought 2 of the smaller aluminum pans so it'll be easier for me to take the leftovers home.

Eight hour drive (round trip), eight hour visit, sleepy drive home. Oh, and traffic!  :-)

Truth be told I already bitched up that part of the holiday, all day, to anyone who would listen. I'm actually ready to see the fam, see how far along my budding nephew is and it will be worth it. Plus I'll likely see all of my Seahawks game which come to think of it, not such a good thing. Maybe I'll skip it and enjoy the family.

Happy Turkey Day all, God bless us every one!
