Fox News said she was rushed to the hospital because of "pain". They weren't covering it very well.

(CNN) -- Former first lady Barbara Bush was hospitalized in Houston, Texas, Tuesday night for tests after complaining of stomach pains, according to a family spokeswoman.

Bush, 83, was admitted to Methodist Hospital after complaining of the pains for several days, spokeswoman Jean Becker said.

Jim McGrath, a spokesman for Bush's husband, former President George H.W. Bush, said all of the tests were negative and that she is expected to be released either later Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Born in New York in 1925, Bush, born Barbara Pierce, married her husband in 1945. She is the great-great-great niece of Franklin Pierce, who served as president from 1853 to 1857.

An update...
Quote
Former first lady Barbara Bush was sitting and joking Wednesday, less than 24 hours after Houston surgeons repaired a perforated ulcer that was causing pain she described as "worse than childbirth."

Bush, 83, was admitted to The Methodist Hospital on Tuesday with the condition that can be life-threatening but is routinely managed if recognized and treated promptly. Her surgeon said Bush fit the latter scenario, but she will remain in the hospital for a week.

"Due to her good judgment, we caught it early," said Dr. Pat Reardon, who performed the surgery. "She did very well through the surgery and continues to do very well. She's alert, and her vital signs are good, stable."

Surgeons patched and closed a roughly half-inch hole during a several-hour, minimally invasive operation that ended about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The hole, which allows bile and acid to spill into the abdominal cavity, was caused by an ulcer burning through a portion of her small intestine. She had never previously been treated for an ulcer.

Good news.  :)

What did she ever do to them to deserve that?

She drew a breath.

And in their mind...she gave birth to the embodiment of Evil.
