Cold.  My phantom pain showed up again last night, so I'm wiped out today.  Gotta run a few errands, though.

Need to find and kill the paper monster that keeps burying my living room in his leavings.  I swear, I have 10 trees worth of various school papers, junk mail, magazines, notes, etc lying around.

Anything exciting?  Definitely not.

Cold, Cold, and Cold. At least the winds died down somewhat.

Boss has me doing cold-call sales at work now. NOT happy about that at all.  :censored:

But on the bright side, hubby and I contributed to helping the economy last night by purchasing a new truck. WOOT!

I am loving it already, and still haven't figured out all the new buttons and gadgets in it. It is SWEEEET.

I used to hate all the driving I have to do, but now, not so much.  :hyper:

Sitting here debating myself on whether or not to drive to Winstar Casino.  My wife has to go to Norman tomorrow.  If she and I drive (separately) to Winstar, we can spend the night and she will already be in Oklahoma when she wakes up tomorrow morning.  Her drive will not be a long one.

I have never been to Winstar and have no desire to go.  I guess I'm just not a gambler.  My brother is though, to the point that he sees a gambling counselor and is also in huge debt (even after filing bankruptcy) because of it.

Getting ready to go each lunch with my youngest child at school.  Then after we eat they are having a book fair so we will go to that so she can buy a couple of books.

I enjoy playing the slots, and I am in no danger of gambling overcoming me.  I never lose any amount of significance because I walk away if it isn't going my way.

It's just fun.  Sometimes (like when I won $10,000), it REALLY fun.

I went to a casino in Lake Charles over 4th of July weekend.  It was my first time in a casino.  I took $20 and walked away with $120.  I've been to Lone Star Park, the horse races, and again I'm only willing to lose $20.

The debate has concluded.  We're headed for Thackerville.

What's bad is I can't see a decent way to get there except through Dallas.  That part sucks traffic cones.

Just got back from a lab practical.  Didn't do as well as I would have liked, but I should be able to maintain an A in the class.

I'm going to use today and tomorrow to do some light studying and relax.

Too bad you weren't going to Choctaw. It's 10 mins from our house.

Go straight through, stay off the loop. You knew that already right.

Too bad you weren't going to Choctaw. It's 10 mins from our house.

We were at Choctaw Sunday evening.   :-)  We were visiting frinds in Van Alstyne, so we were almost there anyway.

We went to Winstar because my wife has to be (and is now) in Norman today.  We spent the night in Gainesville.

BTW, Winstar sucks poker chips (compared to Choctaw).  No, we didn't lose a dime.  We walked out with the same amount with which we arrived.

Winstar just doesn't have a good atmosphere.  It's too dark.  It's too spread out.  Too many machines out-of-order.  Too much devotion to the video screen slots.

I actually overheard a casino worker tell a player they couldn't look back on their camera tapes for the area in question because it was too dark there for the camera to capture.  Don't you think that is information they should keep to themselves?
