Study Recruitment Invitation
From: SurveyResearch2008
Date: Nov-16-08 12:45 AM
Hi there! Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University are conducting a survey investigating attitudes about interpersonal relations and conflict at politically-oriented websites. You have been invited to participate because you are a contributing member of Democratic Underground. Results of this survey may help social researchers and website designers make virtual forums like DU more productive, harmonious places. And your participation will contribute to science!

If you are willing to participate, our questionnaire will ask about your background (e.g., age, gender, participation levels at Democratic Underground, political orientation), as well as your perception of relationships at Democratic Underground. The survey will take about 15-20 minutes to complete.

There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project, nor are there any direct benefits to you. You will receive no compensation for your participation in this study. This is an entirely anonymous survey, and your responses will not be identifiable in any way. All responses are confidential, and your results will be kept under lock and key. Your participation is voluntary.

If you have any questions about this project, you may contact the researchers at kms47@pitt.edu . And thanks for helping with this important study!

NOTE: The administrators of Democratic Underground are aware of the nature of our research and have given us permission to recruit participants for this study via PMs.

If you wish to participate in this study AND you are at least 18 years old, please click HERE

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I clicked the link and it took me to a site that helps you design surveys.

Don't know. It was in my inbox this morning. Maybe it's a mole trap and I'm the only one that got it.

If it's from the University of Pittsburgh and/or Carnegie-Mellon, it's legit.

My fellow alum Skins asked for it.

But if one is a mole, I suggest one don't participate.

Some primitives, especially that brassy arrogant woman primitive from Maryland ("faygoldkid" or somesuch stupid primitive screen-name), were upset about it when receiving it circa, oh, about a month ago.

I wasn't going to. I don't want to raise the recorded sanity level. :-)
