I miss The Office!
« on: January 28, 2008, 09:51:40 PM »
I haven't watched The Office since the last episode aired before the writer's strike a couple of months ago.

NBC is showing a rerun right now. My sides hurt from laughing so hard.

I want my Office back.  :bawl:

I miss The Office too.  My BBC DVD's were stolen along with the rest of them.

That's a bummer.

Watch HBO's Extras.  It has the creators of The Office Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.  It is so freaking hillarious!
All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

You are alone.

Good premise, bad acting, bad writing.

It amazes me how the British understand TV so well and have great shows that we in the USA can't even do a good job of imitating (The Office, Survivor and all derivatives, Millionaire, Deal or No Deal, etc.)

I've never seen the BBC version. I've heard it is better than ours so that's why I won't watch it. I don't want to ruin what I love already.

Heck no, I only started watching it recently, but some of it is just hilarious and just so reminiscent of my days in cubes.

I miss Jenna Fischer. Oh well, hopefully I'll see her as a centerfold in Playboy one day.  :evillaugh:

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

You aren't missing anything.  It is over the top to the point of being unfunny farce.  See the British version instead.

That's what sucked me in. The "Diversity Day" episode from the first season just had me in stitches because their were so many similaries to the multi-cultural crap I'm subjected to at work. I've been hooked since.

LOL..that one and the one with the birthday party where everyone wanted their own kind of cake. I love when they get Dwight going in freakout  mode. Reminds me a bit of DUmmies.
