Michigan governor and former congressman will serve on economic transition team.

LANSING -- Gov. Jennifer Granholm was named to President-elect Barack Obama's transition team on the economy Thursday, and will meet with him and 16 other advisers today in Chicago.

Granholm's appointment to the panel -- former Macomb County Congressman David Bonior also is on the committee -- comes on the heels of the dual roles she played in the late stages of the Obama-Biden campaign. She was a stand-in for Sarah Palin when Joe Biden was practicing for the vice-presidential debate, and was tapped by Obama as a traveling advocate for alternative energy.

Other members of the blue-ribbon economic advisory committee include billionaire Warren Buffett, former U.S. Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, Google CEO Eric Schmidt and former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker.

 This latest inclusion in the Obama circle fans speculation that Granholm may be offered a permanent position in the Obama administration, or on the federal bench. Granholm hasn't put the rumors to rest, but said Thursday: "I'm looking forward to serving as governor with a true partner in the White House."

She has two years remaining in this term, which will be her last due to term limitations.

Granholm initially backed Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential bid, but her stock rose when she was asked to mimic Palin in vice presidential debate warm-ups for Biden. In addition, Obama tapped her to promote alternative energy at the Democratic National Convention in August and at a town hall meeting in Florida last month.

He is a Marxist after all. It's damned near genetically ingrained in him to seek out these guys.

I hope we're all busting our asses to prepare for when the trap door drops out from under this recession.  If you thought the "we didn't know Goldman Sachs was going to fail until 24 hours before it hit rock bottom", was lame coming from the damned head of the SEC, just wait until these ****sticks are using the same damned excuse for the whole damned economy.

He also is consulting with Villareconquista, whose econimic acumen is up there with jimmy karter.

This guy is quite a dufus -- he starts his Hope and Change by getting the most debasing thug available, then gets economic advice from people from areas that have mismanaged themselves and their areas into complete economic ruin.  And he hasn't even staffed his New America Civilian Corps.

I about his the roof yesterday when I learned Michigan legalized a medical marijuana law as loose as Californias.

Let's not forget that David Bonior is the thug's thug.

Having most recently served as John Edwards' campaign manager ($400 haircuts anyone? And how 'bout slippin' the salami to the gal who wasn't his wife?).

Michigan, specifically the tri-county area in and around Detroit, has become a dung heap characterized by the failing auto industry and all of the supporting industries. (Notice I'm not even gonna mention the mayor of Detroit.)

Bonior has courted anyone and everyone who would see to it that he would be elected. That includes some very iffy people....
