They won.  Why are they so angry?

The deal is, in the end, sore winners never win.

I mentioned that in my reply.  I did apologize for basically coming into her "territory" and letting her have it.  It wasn't very polite of me.  I did blame it on the prednisone.  I wonder how much longer I can use it before I have to cop to just having a bad attitude?

Can we just give Memphis to Arkansas?   :-)
YES! Some folks wouldn't have been the slightest bit upset to see those bridges come down. :-)
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

With any kind of luck, the Mississippi will carve out a new path, just to the west of Germantown, and erase that festering abscess.

Beale St., the Peabody Hotel, the Rendezvous - make 'em all Arkansan.

The ducks can find a new home.

 :-)

Oh, H5, deb.
I think I'd bump that a little farther - like Cordova or or even more East. Heck, you could go all the way to Jackson. :)

You in Memphis? I was born and raised there.

Bright side? Gonna be fun watching the Dems attack one another because they'll control everything. Bad side? I'll be unemployed, so I'll have a lot of time for observation. .....and yes, I will, more than likely, be out of a job. I work on new defense systems. ..those same systems that punk wants to cut. You know, thinks like IED hunters that protect our troops or a SatCom system that allows our troops some access to assets back home.
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Well, the Dems are still not completely happy despite Obama's win because of other things.

Oh, no they're not--not by a longshot.  Especially when the average person that thinks Obama is going to fill their tank and pay their mortgage realizes that's NOT going to happen.

Yea, but I know someone that can cut their power and leave them more in the dark than they already are.

With more states outlawing affirmative action yesterday, it’s only going to put Obama in squeeze between the voters and the people he oversold to – and he’ll use Jesse and Al as scapegoats in a heartbeat to save his ass.

No, but I lived in Jackson for about a year. Escaped intact, but am considering final retirement there (assuming we survive Obama).

You should consider here, Euph....we have a symphony and university too! And it's prettier than Jackson. :-)

I remember the movie Idiocracy, people were storming the White House because Joe Bauers made Brawndo's stock price drop and everyone lost money and was "unemployed". I think there will be people storming the White House demanding why Obama has not paid their gas and mortgage.

Jackson is the end zone for us, I'm afraid. Sigh. Some things just don't change. I went wherever I was ordered to go while in uniform, now I'm doin' the same thing.

Mrs. E signs my movement orders anymore.  :hyper:

The early morning news analyzed the state of TN and it had much more "red" than it did in 2004. There was still a smidgen of "blue" in the Nashville area and Memphis area is still "blue".

There is still a Democrat Governor, but the Republicans now control the state.
BUT, the Nashville area, Davidson County, was completely surrounded by us Red counties  :cheersmate: :-), our Democratic Gov is fiscally more conservative than most republicans  and Memphis ..... well, :mental: it's just Memphis

Hmmmmm.  Barry-0 is half black and half white.  Wonder why he chose to call himself black instead of white.   :whatever:

Agreed.  They'd fit right in with the Ford family, except that Harry actually went to jail for his mis-deeds.

DRY?  Oh HELL NO!   Hey Euph, Deb's area would be a great place to retire to, I'm even thinking about it  (of course, I'm still trying to lay claim to a lil corner in her house  :rotf:

Let deb send Mrs E some area pics  AND, she's the lady to find your house.  :cheersmate:
