So I asked a man I work with who is from New Jersey if he was going to be able to vote and he said "no, it wouldn't do any good anyway."

"Oh, you mean because its a blue state?" I asked. "Yeah, and I wouldn't have voted for McCain anyway- I mean I was going to until he picked his running mate, but she's so, uh..."

He stopped as if he were afraid of offending me... "Because she's so stupid, and you're afraid he'll keel over next week and we'll be stuck with her?" I asked. He nodded.

Horrid, not even an effort.

DUmmies, we won't be miserable if Obama pulls this election out.  We'll keep our heads held high, go to work on Wednesday and live our lives normally.  You DUmmies, however, will be miserable regardless of the outcome of the election.  Suck on it.

They just don't get it.

The senses of self-confidence and self-reliance that keeps conservatives voting for small government are the same qualities that allow us to keep a positive attitude and even thrive regardless of who's sitting in Washington, D.C., while DUmmies and their ilk are the one's who have to go to bed for days at a time, consult their shrinks, and alienate friends and family when their guy loses, so invested are they in government helping them to run their lives.

On Jan 21,2009 I will be either going to my job or in the middle of relocating.
Whoever is President will make no difference.

That is the difference between normal folks of all political persuasions and DUmmies.
We rely on God,familyand friends to see us through difficulties, not government.

Any DUmmy lurkers ask yourself....which of us is more likely to be disappointed with that outcome?

Not sure just yet but someplace a lot warmer then NY.
Right now I am in North Carolina for a golf trip and it is nice here but employment is always going to be something of an issue with education level and working for a NAPA and now an equipment dealer for the last 20 years.

Texas may still be the focus as it was last summer when I took a trip there.

Who's miserable?  No one around me is miserable or plans to be after this election whatever the outcome.  If McCain wins I also don't plan on looting and rioting in the streets to celebrate.

The DUmmie OP is yet another self admitted psychiatric case.  There seems to be an inordinate amount of them over there and I always wondered why.  Shouldn't tolerant, loving, peaceful, honest, compassionate and charitable people like liberals be happy with themselves?

Oh for cripes sake... :whatever: I actually can see this to some extent and if it is the case then the east coast/west coast types need to get over their snotty elitism. You are NOT the be all, end all of civilization.

Secondly, and I can only speak for myself as a conservative, but there is nothing to be miserable about since my life does not revolve around politics. I have an active, full life that is totally seperate from my opinions on this topic. I really pity people if this is all they got.

I'm spending the next week and a half with my best freind, who will be lucky to live long enough to see the inauguration. As it stands right now, it's looking like Feb.

I've got a hell of a lot more important things to do than worry about which asshat wins today. McCain ain't a keeper in my eyes, but he's sure a helluva lot safer than the wannabe.

Only DUmb asses would think normal people rely on politicians to influence their attitude.

Actually I'm pretty well set to retire in a year or so no matter who wins, it's not going to make an immediate difference to me in any life-changing way.  I just hate to see the Dems screw it up completely for my kids.

I'm pretty much in the same situation, as I will likely retire at the end of March.......and the libs are going to throw all sorts of goodies at us retirees, to buy our votes that our children will end up paying for.........

Sad but true.

Whole lot of projection goin on over there.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

even those of us who live amongst the snotty west coast elites will have just as full a life tomorrow, as we do today.. although, there is still a decent chance that we'll knock off the incumbent Dem Governor and hand it back to the guy who won it last time - that will definitely satisfy 50% of the electorate in Wa. State..

and it will make the snotty west coast elites just pissy.. which will be nice to watch.

*fingers crossed*

I just forsee my job and everyone else in the military's job getting harder considering the Socialist that America just voted into office.  Plus the fact that the terrorists have been hoping for this day to arrive.  They wouldn't have tested McCain on our own soil.

But Biden was truthful about one thing...they WILL test the Rookie.

They won't see me standing by the road with signs saying things like, "Not My President", "Forgive us World", etc..

I remember that.  Typical liberal guilt and angst; worrying about what everyone else thinks of them.

If I could, I'd ask the forgiveness of Lady Liberty and of our military.  The Lady's days are numbered and our military must be wary.

The four cruelest words in the English language are:

I told you so.

So, when the Obamessiah puts the economy into full-blown depression, you've got those words ready.

Plus, with the Dems in control of both houses of Congress (but not 60 seats!) and the Oval Office, they own everything that happens on their watch.  Along with the leftist media.
