Okay, I believe John McCain and Sarah Palin are going to win the presidency tomorrow, and that the Democrats' hopes for Senate and House seats should be more modest than those hopes are.
However, being in accounting, I always like to use the "worst possible case" scenario.
Most people, either personally or professionally, use the "most likely case" scenario.
But it's always best to know what the worst is, that point where things cannot possibly get even worse.
Suppose the Big Zero and Obama Jr. win the presidency; suppose the Democrats pick up all Senate seats up for election this year, and all 435 seats in the House.
That's the "worst possible case."
There's going to be riots; one recalls how Philadelphia was trashed and burned after the World Series; these are people who "celebrate" in vast orgies of destruction.
However, given the nature of the American people, within months the whole Obamareich should crumble to brittle pieces, as (a) "buyer's remorse" settles in and (b) significant portions of Democrats and liberals decide the Obama way isn't the way to go.
The Democrats, liberals, and primitives may try to take God out of America, but that won't happen; if anything, the position of God in America, due to this mindless Hate, will strengthen.
The Democrats, liberals, and primitives may try to make abortion the established state religion, but that's not going to happen either.
The Democrats, liberals, and primitives may try to take away firearms from decent and civilized people, but that's not going to happen.
The Democrats, liberals, and primitives may try to trump up charges against any and every Republican who has ever served a Republican president, going clear back to Calvin Coolidge (if any of those are still alive; if not, their descendants), but nothing will come of it.
The Democrats, liberals, and primitives may try to raise taxes and redistribute the wealth, but see the part above, about Democrats and liberals suddenly deciding ooops, this isn't the way to go.
I'm not God, and therefore can't say anything with a certainty, but I suppose election of the Big Zero would cause the Second American Civil War, at least in words if not in other ways; and those who are right prevail.
God has always promised to preserve a people (of any numbers) as long as there are twelve decent and civilized men among them, and we've got a lot more than a dozen, from George Bush on down to Joe the Plumber.
So even in the worst possible case, goodness and decency will, ultimately, win.
