I feel McCain's experience pales in comparison with the torment that Obama must be going through every time he steps out on stage to give a speech. With the assassination of Butto only months ago, the realization of what could be a real possibility must run through his mind constantly.

Ummm, no, DUmmie, not even close.  Love him, hate him, don't care, but whatever else you can say about him you have to acknowledge a shining, heroic moment when John McCain declined repatriation based on his father's status, living up to the very highest standards of military heroism, and all the more so because he had to know it was going to result in a very long period of immense pain and misery at the the enemy's hands, not a glorious but mercifully brief moment of mortal daring.  Obama has never sacrificed himself for anything or anybody else, it has all been about advancing The Mighty Obama.  There is no comparison.

The biography channel showed the movie of Big J's captivity today. Not sure what the title is, was headed to work at the time, but for them to show it just a coupla days before the election amazes the shit outa me, since the media sure seems to be in the tank for ObamawanadoYa!

The hard-over uber-Right-wing freaks like Stormfront types may not want to, it's very possible that they may see a disastrous Obama Presidency as a good thing rather than something to be avoided.  Most of them could really give a rat's ass about him screwing up our international relations, and God knows he's the least Israel-friendly President they could possibly get.  Breaking us loose from our existing international framework and having the first Black President (Not counting BJ Clinton) totally screw the pooch on the domestic front is a combination they really couldn't get with anyone else.

It would take hard-over Lefties awhile to get so disaffected they'd do anything of the sort, plus they are so incredibly ineffectual at taking any sort of non-media-based action that it's difficult to see him being in any danger from them.

Just as likely as either far Left or Right is some totally uncategorized nutbar, who like as not would be manipulated into it as a cat's-paw for something else behind the scene, like a foreign intelligence service.
