There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Sen. McCain for presidentOur View – We officially endorse Sen. John McCain for president.Next Tuesday, one of the most historic presidential races in United States history will come to a close. Voters in all 50 states will enter into a private polling booth and decide who they feel is best qualified for carrying the title of Commander-in-Chief.Much has been said of both Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama since they first entered into their formal campaigns this summer. A consistent theme has developed: Sen. McCain has made an argument for being the more experienced of the two, and we agree with this notion. We feel Sen. McCain’s experience in foreign affairs and his decision to not raise taxes on anyone of any class of society makes him the clear choice for president. Sen. McCain has a history of stepping across party lines; the same cannot be said of Sen. Obama.Sen. McCain also has a record as an agent of change. He has promised to focus more on the issues of energy, climate change and excessive government spending, all of which need to be addressed in order for this country to effectively move forward.Even though we believe Sen. McCain is the best choice on Nov. 4, we have concerns we feel neither candidate has discussed enough in their platforms. Both candidates have promised increased pay for teachers, better educational tools and lower college costs, but neither has exactly explained how they will accomplish these feats.More
