congratulations.  you just went a long ways toward proving that Obama can reach across party lines. :thatsright:   why in the world would you run an ad that strengthens your opponent's weaknesses?  this virtually disproves the "partisan" argument.

It shows Obama can praise John McCain, it doesn't show him reaching across party lines, it does show that McCain has as global warming isn't a Republican issue.

  • Make America Great Again. Deport some DUmmies.
McCain is making a play for the PUMAs with this ad, as well as the new print McCain/Hillary leaflet thats getting passed around mostly in PA. - It seems most of the remaining undecideds are heavily Clinton-supporting Dems who hate Bush, but REALLY hate Obama, and are conflicted over supporting a platform, or a party.

In short, Its another "I am not Bush" advertisement.

Thankfully, the 527s are bringing out the heavy artillery for the rest of the election.

it was a serious misstep, and Obama pounced this afternoon:
Quote
"As if there's something wrong with acknowledging when an opponent has said or done something that makes sense," Obama said. "I think we need more of that attitude in Washington...We need more civility in Washington."

Obama noted that, "I don't disagree with John McCain on everything," and then pivoted to where he does.

"When it comes to the economy, when it comes to the central issue of this election, the plain truth is John McCain has stood with President Bush every step of the way," Obama said.
