He threatened the NRA and any station that ran their ads with legal action. When I was at USMB (before I got 3200 emails) the libs vigorously sighted a factcheck.org story denying the claims of the NRA.
Yet, both Obama and hs supporters know/want bans on weapons (and socialism and govt healthcare etc). If this is what they want why do they feel the need to lie about it? If it's so good why not extol the virtues of your policy?
No conservative has ever been emabrrassed by calling for less gov't, lower taxes and unrestricted gun ownership for law-abiding citizens.
Why are libs so embarrassed by their policies if they really believe in them? I know the reflex answer is: because the American people reflexively resist socialism and forced disarmament.
But again: if your policies are so good then argue their merits, not lie and threaten those who advertise your policies for you.
It seems to me that if you have to lie you intrinsically know your policies are bad but you are more worried about the power of elected office than any practical results. This is what leads me to believe these socialists are out to conquer us rather than merely (mis)govern the nation. They are not proposing womb-to-tomb socialism to care for us because they admit by lying (consciousness of guilt in legal parlance) that their policies are doomed to failure. Instead, they are trying to take away our freedoms to keep the power they are cheating to gain.
Conservatives seek give an ordered society.
Liberals seek to give society orders.
