I think this is a multi-purpose force.
1) it will be his end run around the 2nd Amendment.

2) A number of you are dead on. This force will do things that the US military will refuse.
This force will be staffed by the radical left. Franksolich is so right. DU primitives will have like-minded thugs with guns under their command. They don't have to be competent. No. This is a force of thugs. DU is so ready to instigate a purge.
DU idiots are the perfect expendables to man such a force. When its done, the new socialist state can kill them off, and no one will weep.
DUmmies will also be perfect to man gun grabbing squads, cause if they die, no one will care.
--->Power will go to their heads, and the primitives will eat this up.

3) Remember Ayers? His terrorists believed they would have to kill 25 million Americans to bring about the state they wanted. That is a Stalinist purge. He is still Obama's mentor, and has never been thrown under the bus. I'll bet dollars to donuts this terrorist will be part of Obama's cabinet. The only question I have is what post will he hold.

Why would anyone who...as President...will take an oath to uphold the Constitution...and has a military that’s taken an oath to protect and defend the same document need a civilian (read para-military) fore to carry out “national security objectives”?

Obama lies about so many other things...  As a Senator he has already taken such an oath.  So lying about it one more time if he is sworn in as POTUS won't bother him much.

First, as the military votes Republican by a large margin, Obama doesn't see them as reliable for following his orders.

Second, there are restrictions (Posse Comitatus Act) on using the military inside the United States, there will be no such restrictions on Obama's gestapo.
