Did a reading about Palin last night.
Advertisements [?]I predict she won't be on the national stage after November. She'll have legal problems in Alaska, possibly culminating in March, if anyone is paying much attention to her by then.

I feel certain she won't be a presidential candidate in 2012.

It's actually possible she has mental problems that will get worse. Problems that involve delusion or confused thinking.

It's a relief to me to think she'll fade into obscurity very soon, so I thought I'd share...

1. My biggest hope is to never hear about her again after November 5.
I find her to be absolutely disgusting as a human being and I can hardly wait for her to return to whatever den of hate she crawled out of.

3. Mental problems? Yikers. Not surprised, though, I guess.
I maintain that the Palin selection will go down in history as one of the biggest backfires for the Republicans ever.

7. I didn't mean serious mental problems
but she's pretty delusional about her importance. Right now she's got fair size crowds supporting that delusion. It's possible she'll get some television news spots, but I think legal/ethics problems will quash any continued spotlight in the public eye.

Reason told me she'd be gone, unless God forbid they steal the election, but I wanted to look at it from an intuitive angle.

4. I've been predicting she'll show up in Playboy magazine before too long.
No readings involved, just a hunch.

12. I think a lot of Christian fundamentalists are attached to their beliefs
more as a way of controlling their lives, their world, and other people than out of sincere belief. It could be completely subconscious--they may not even be aware of it. Look at how many high profile preachers have been caught in behaviors completely opposite of what they preach. They are masters at pointing out other peoples' sins while exempting themselves from the same requirements. Jessica Hahn took advantage of her notoriety after the affair with Jim Bakker to pose for Playboy.

I also think Sarah is very comfortable using seduction (figuratively) to get what she wants. Look at how she winks, pouts and preens for her audience during her speeches. If the damage from this campaign to her political career is irreparable, I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if she re-evaluated her belief system--especially if the price was right.

11. She was under threat of being impeached as Governor even before
McCain selected her as his running mate. It shows he's not competent to be President either. Not knowing or caring about her political baggage says it all.

Yeah, out of his ass.

Ben Shapiro has a column titled "The Obama Administration," out today on Townhall.com's website.  Here's a few paragraphs . . .

Quote
November 3, 2012, WASHINGTON D.C. -- Tomorrow, Americans return to the polls, four years after electing Senator Barack Hussein Obama their commander in chief. Though the incumbent president trails in the polls, his aides still hold out hope that he will be able to engineer an improbable victory.

Dissatisfaction with the depressed economy, America's tenuous situation abroad, and a spate of unpopular Supreme Court decisions led by Obama appointees have led voters to embrace the "change" platform espoused by the Republican nominee, Gov. Sarah Palin. "President Obama promised you change four years ago," Palin told a screaming crowd in Pennsylvania today. "And he gave you change. A change from bad to worse. Now it's time for a new kind of change -- a kind of change more in line with the founding fathers than with the French government."

Four years ago, such a turn of events would have been almost unthinkable. Riding to victory on a crest of media-generated enthusiasm and uplifting rhetoric rich in messianic allusions, Senator Obama brought with him a supermajority of Democrats in the Senate and a solid majority of Democrats in the House.

Obama proceeded to replace Justices Kennedy and Ginsburg with Justice Cass Sunstein and Justice Elena Kagan. Sunstein wrote the majority opinion in Degeneres v. California, the decision recognizing a constitutional right for gays to marry under the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment. Kagan wrote the majority opinion in NARAL v. North Dakota, the decision holding that individuals have a right to state-sponsored abortions.

Pretty much what I've said before.  Great minds . . .

The rest of the column is at:

Funny how they seem to be in favor of Freedom of Religion as long as it means they can go run around naked playing at druids, but it somehow disqualifies a Conservative for national office if she's a Pentecostal.

Bijou you're one of my favorite posters at this place so please don't take this wrong, but I swear you must have an industrial strength brain scrubber in order to be able to wade through some of the stuff you find at DU and still be able to sleep at night without nightmares.

Personally, I've tried wading through some of the forums where you've found stuff and couldn't last long at the time before I'd have to come back out to get some air in the real world.

I think it helps that I know that there is no chance that these people are my neighbours (or voting for my government), whereas for you, your future is in their Cheeto stained hands and they could be living in your street.  :(

I'm trying to find out what is so 'disgusting' about Palin to these idiots because I share many commonalities with her as do many of the women I know. DU would be wary to paint  a broad brush there lest they seek to paint a large part of American mothers as 'disgusting'.  :whatever:

As I said before, some of these women(in particular) are seeing the outgoing cheerleader or honor student or whatever that they disliked in school in Palin. So much for judging people on the content of their own individual character.

Palin is everything that feminazis are not: attractive, smart and witty.  If you were one of those scags (or married to one), you would hate her, too.

Well there was a time in my life I was decidedly more liberal and even then I would have seen her as a mom, not the negative silliness that the dump throws about. There is something very endearing about her and maybe a little lovingly annoying...kinda like, well, a mom.  :-)

It looks like they make things up out of whole cloth.  I have no clue how Palin could have been transformed into DU's new boogeyman in such a short time.  Those people are ill.

My guess...

She espouses not only conservative ideals but Christian ones as well.

They are reacting to her with the ferocity and hatred of that being which fills most of their hearts.
