On last night's episode Mike Rowe bit lamb testicles off*.  It was by far the nastiest thing I have ever seen on TV.  I am still mad at myself for watching it because I will NEVER EVER EVER get that visual out of my head.  Anyway, you should watch it if you get the chance.


*actually I think he was just pulling them out with his teeth and then slicing them off with a sharp knife.  They said this is actually the most humane way to neuter them.

Woah.  Hey, word of advice: if you go searching for YouTube videos about "Dirty Jobs," make sure you include Mike Rowe's name.  You get some... interesting... results without it.

I watch it over dinner quite a bit...

Then again, my wife is a physical terror therapist and certified wound specialist.  Dinnertime conversation has gotten pretty ... interesting. 

"So anyway, this guy's got an 4 cm x 1 cm x 3 cm hole right next to his rectum, and I get to clean it three times a week until it stops weeping.  More lasagna, hon?"

I grew up on a dairy farm and after that folded worked on others until 1988.

There are things that have happened or I had to do that do not make for good conversation.
