Shame on McCain and Palin for using an old code word for black
« on: October 21, 2008, 05:44:11 PM »
Bet you can't guess what it is this time!  :-)

Quote
The "socialist" label that Sen. John McCain and his GOP presidential running mate Sarah Palin are trying to attach to Sen. Barack Obama actually has long and very ugly historical roots.

J. Edgar Hoover, director of the FBI from 1924 to 1972, used the term liberally to describe African Americans who spent their lives fighting for equality.

Those freedom fighters included the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., who led the Civil Rights Movement; W.E.B. Du Bois, who in 1909 helped found the NAACP which is still the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization; Paul Robeson, a famous singer, actor and political activist who in the 1930s became involved in national and international movements for better labor relations, peace and racial justice; and A. Philip Randolph, who founded and was the longtime head of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and a leading advocate for civil rights for African Americans.

McCain and Palin have simply reached back in history to use an old code word for black. It set whites apart from those deemed unAmerican and those who could not be trusted during the communism scare.

Shame on McCain and Palin.

You know, that makes me really nervous now.

You suppose "the guy with the big floppy ears" or "the Big Zero" were once code-words for "black," and so I'm a closet racist?

I'm really starting to like all this 'bad for Obama = Racist' nonsense. Its getting to the point where its oversaturated, and therefore meaningless to anyone.

I think, in part, the diffusion of the racist meme (ironically) by its supporters may in part account for McCain's slow uptick in the polls.

If Repiglicans would stop speaking at all, they'd decide that looking at McCain or Palin was racist.   ::) ::)

Oh Geez, not this crap again.  McCain and Palin can not use any words to criticize The Messiah without being accused of racism.

Now imagine if he's actually done the smart thing and picked Her Thighness as his Veep.

If you criticzed him you'd be a racist and if you criticized her you'd be a woman hater.

For the Dems it would have been a criticism free Dream Ticket.  And entire election where one side of the debate was completely 100% muzzled.

Now let's see here...

Calling him a socialist = racism
Bringing up Ayers = racism
Bringing up Wright = racism
Bringing up Odinga = racism (what happened to Corsi anyway?)
Mentioning his middle name = racism
Bringing up Fred the communist = racism
Bringing up the birth certificate issue = racism
Criticizing Biden = racism
Mentioning his ears = racism
Bringing up ACORN = racism
Bringing up Farrakhan = racism
Criticizing Obama's foreign policy = racism
Mentioning the speech at Berlin = racism
Asking Obama the wrong question = racism
Not voting for Obama = racism

You know, I'm not totally sure, but I think there may be some kind of a pattern here.

I'm working on a new name to call BHO.  I've used Obamassia, The Big Zero, The One, The Chosen One, the lord god almighty B Hussein,  and several others here have used clever names to describe who and what he is.

Given his messiah complex, his strong armed tactics towards those who would dare question him, his speaking style and the way his followers fanatically hang on every word, I looked in history to see who he best reminds me.  Several of the Roman Caesars had those traits, but I couldn't decide on which one fit more closely.  Then it occured to me that there was a ruler in the 20th century who viewed himself as the reincarnation of the glory of Rome.  After that, the name became clear.

BHO's name will be "Il Duce."

This one is so far off the Stupid Scale that anyone but a hard-core Dem nutcase seeing it would have to ask "WTF?"
